"It's not the destination it's the Jouney" "All those who wander are not lost" "It's Always Tea Time" there's another one but I can't remember exactly how it goes... "The willing lead by the unknowing, will do the impossible for the ungrateful, we've done so much with so little for so long, we can do anything with nothing" Alteast I think it's about right
I read somewhere that 77 per cent of all the mentally ill live in poverty. Actually, I'm more intrigued by the 23 per cent who are apparently doing quite well for themselves. Jerry Garcia
"Oh we can't fly without a teapot!" - Can't remember. "There's a face, next muffin. There's a face, next muffin. There's a face.... .. Next muffin." - Ross Noble.
FAIL! "All that is gold does not glitter, Not all who wander are lost The old that is strong does not wither Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken A light from the shadows shall spring For renewed will be blade that was broken And the crownless again shall be king" --Bilbo Baggins (The one from LotR, NOT the tailor and haberdasher who ran for mayor of Tucson)
Another from JRRT: "He that sows lies in the end shall not lack of a harvest, and in the end may rest from toil indeed, while others reap and sow in his stead." --From The Silmarillion
Sounds suspiciously like Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. - Galatians 6:7 Then again, JRRT was a devout Christian.
Elwood P. Dowd: Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

"Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."
"just because you're not allowed to do something, dosn't mean you can't do it,it just means people think you shouldn't..."I said this to the say no to drugs lady and got sent to the counciler.:banghead:
CHUCKY D! Charles Darwin, born 200 years, one day, ago. It's the last two sentences of On the Origin of Species. Can't believe the anniversary of Darwin's birth wasn't mentioned in one of your classes. What DO they teach in schools these days???
Nothing. They don't even have On The Origin of Species in our school library. I complain about it all the time. I tell them that if they're going to have a bunch of copies of the bible, then it's only fair to have stuff from all aspects of that kind of stuff. I'm ignored.
Yeah. Pretty much. I tried convincing my parents to let me teach myself. I have much more faith in my ability than I have in that of our public education system to do the job correctly.
