This is rap, but I wouldn't refer to it as "hip-hop" at all. It's the sub-genre "Underground Devil Shyt", as fans have come to call it. It's some creative/original shit from the early-mid 90's, but released in '99, with in-house production by DJ Paul(of the Academy Award winning Three Six Mafia), who also performs the second verse:
