OK but it is the reality here in Indiana...and the Trump Republicans say some incredibly racist and insensitive things about Mexicans, Blacks, and Muslims. Trump's appointee Carl Higbie said Muslims can go back to their country and crap in their own hands. And he said Muslims bang little boys on Thursday nights. And he said Mexicans should be shot when they cross the border. And he said Blacks think breeding is a form of employment.
Probably better than Kennedy or Johnson did. Seriously, the only "proof" I have heard that Trump is a "racist" is that so many people are calling him one. Not from any deed of his. Where's the beef? And for the record, I'm not a fan of Trump and got tired of his arrogant mug in the early 90s. But really folks, there's enough real shit to dredge up about this guy without having to jump to the old tried and true "he's a racist". But for many it seems the only tool they have is a hammer. So why look beyond that? It's time for the race card to expire.
What log have you been hiding under? Donald Trump’s Racism: The Definitive List Beyond His "Shithole Countries" Remark, Trump Has A Long History Of Saying Racist Things Here Are 16 Examples Of Donald Trump Being Racist
None of that is definitive PROOF that the man is actually a proven racist. Most of it is opinion and subjective conclusions. Unless, of course, the very definition of racism has changed dramatically, (you know, to be more inclusive). And for God's sake please quit taking personal jabs like that. Over and over you do this and it accomplishes nothing toward the discussion.
Sorry. I didn't realize I was taking a personal jab. I just found it amazing that you don't think that Trump is a racist, this led me to believe that you hadn't heard or seen any examples. My understanding of the expression,"hiding under a log", is that it's referring to someone who doesn't know something that's obvious to everyone else. All of the links I posted give examples of Trump's racism. Which don't you agree with? Let me take some of them one by one, which I have already done numerous times in other posts. Please excuse the lack of links in this material as I spent an awful lot of time assembling all this and didn't feel like linking all the sources. But you can check them all out if you like. But first the definition of a racist: In the 1970's Trump's company was found to have given preferential treatment to white employees by the FBI and to have discriminated against blacks. Donald was working for his father and said the FBI was lying. Donald Trump himself: "Black guys counting my money! I hate it. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it's probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks." In an interview on NBC in 1989, "I think sometimes a black may think they don’t have an advantage or this and that. I've said on one occasion, even about myself, if I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I really believe they do have an actual advantage." Trump called Obama a "bad" or "sick" person after accusing him, without evidence, of ordering the government to tap his phones during the 2016 presidential campaign. His racist animus to President Barack Obama—he's called him lazy, questioned his American birth, his Christian faith, and his intelligence. "Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty." "International banks" is code for Jews among white-supremacists and would-be Nazis. He retweets white supremacists, he supported white supremacist Roy Moore for office, and says some of them are "very fine people," the words he used to excuse the murderous white supremacists who marched in Charlotteville, Virginia, with their torches and fascist chants. During his presidential campaign, he called Mexican immigrants criminals and "rapists." In December 2015, Trump called for a "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States." Trump once said a federal judge working on a lawsuit against Trump University was biased because of his Mexican heritage. In June 2017, Trump said thousands of recent immigrants from Haiti "all have AIDS." He is quick to point out crimes committed by dark-skinned people, and not those by white people. Trump once referred to a Hispanic Miss Universe as "Miss Housekeeping." ...and so on. Now what in the definition of racist don't you think applies to these and all the other examples I gave in my previous post? It's very easy to say there's no proof. Can you address the specific examples I linked to and gave, to point out how they are purely "subjective" and mere opinions and how they don't conform to the definition? Just because Trump doesn't wear a KKK hood doesn't mean he isn't racist. If the proof you require would by someone catching Trump lynching some poor unfortunate minority person, then no we don't have any proof. If by proof you mean his own statements and actions short of an actual lynching, then we have lots of proof.
1) a complete shut-down of Muslims entering this country 2) Mexicans are rapers criminals murderers and drug smugglers 3) Charolettville White Nationalists are fine people These statements are not just a hint of racism and there are more.
