There was magazine I read oneday, that had a feature on a sex therapist who got the clients to have sex with their partner in front of them & then tell them what they are or aren't doing things that could help improve their sex a lot better.
Now that would be a job with benefits.

    I'm a pretty simple creature.
If someone likes me and I like them. Then let's get naked and do it.

i'm largely the same, a bit of experimentation is nice an' all, but at the moment i'm still getting used to the shock of having a sex life at all, so thats my quota of "weird" fulfilled straight outta the gate :D

    The sum of my experimentation

    Gay sex...
The first time I was with a woman I was too freaked out to decide if it was my thing. The second time I wasn't so freaked out but I was really clumsy. The third time I decided that I could take it or leave it... no fireworks therefore nothing that I need to chase after.

    Anal sex...
First time I screamed like hell and ended up crying. Second time I relaxed but it still hurt like hell and I ended up pooing in the bed. Third time was with a self professed anal master and he just brutally sodomized me without mercy or listening to my protests and I bled for 2 days. Therefore NOTHING will ever go in my ass again.

    Swallowing...
First time disgusting.. second time disgusting... will not be a third time. If a man wants to come in my mouth I get to crap in his.

    Sex on E...
First time with guy that also took E and he never got hard. Second time with an older gentleman that didn't use E and OOOOHHH MY GAWWWWD!!! It was just pure heaven. Third time with a retired pornstar that didn't take the E but ate a bunch of mushrooms....... It was the best sexual experience of my life to date

Thanks for your suggestions so far.

Hooker is probably out of the question, I don't want to get arrested. Besides bringing money into sex often takes the fun out of it.

Sex therapist seems like the best option. So I would have to go back to school and get a Master's in Social Work. Then get certified by AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators Certified something), which would involve 90 clock hours of work and 40 hours of supervision or something. Am I willing to do that? Not sure, as it will take a very long time to get to the point where I am practicing something sexual in nature.

Also I heard that sex therapists need to be in private practice, that some mental health place won't just hire a sex therapist. Is that true?

Any other ideas? I have a BA in English.

Porn. If it were as easy for men to get into the industry as women (and if I no longer had parents) then i'd love to get into the porn industry. Every guy says that I know. But for women who can easily get into the industry, its relatively safe, good pay, fun lifestyle.

With a BA in English you could write erotic literature for thinking people; most of it is penned by idiots for idiots, so an intelligent author would make a pleasant change.

You could open a sex club and provide facilities for like-minded singles and couples to meet and have sex in a comfortable atmosphere. There would appear to be plenty of money to be made in this area, at least here in the UK.

 I was under the impression the whole aim of this thread was to find a way to make money off of sex... The jobs/careers part must've been bit a bit misleading for me.

Is porn legal in DC? Also isn't it unsafe due to unprotected sex?

This *is* about making money off of sex or sexuality. I'm just afraid of escort because it's illegal. I wanted to gear it more towards using my brain.

    Oh ok... Another idea:

Journalist/editor for playboy, playgirl, hustler, sexuality books or something along those lines.

Not sure about the DC laws, but a lot of porn stars live in one place, then travel to LA for a week or two a month to shoot, then fly back home. Yes, almost everything is done unprotected, but its arguable safer than say prostitution in that you're working on sets, private homes, etc., with a lot of people around, so theres no danger that say prostitutes or even regular people face when they're going home with someone they dont know. Also, porn stars are tested every month, so youre pretty sure the people youre working with are HIV and certain STD free (not all are required to be tested for).

That sounds so awesome! I've never thought about that, thanks.

Do you or does anyone else know how I can go about getting a job like this?

It takes time to get into journalism. I suggest you write to the magazines in question.

The only problem I feel I should add on to your statement about porn stars being tested, is that the danger lies in the scenario where directors and producers ask the porn stars (male and female) to do a scene before the test results come back so that the company can meet quarterly profit margins.

So yes they are tested, but sometimes the scientific nature of STD tests requires that a certain wait period for the test to pass before results are credible, like (false negatives or false positives). That waiting period can be like a week or two, and someone can be infected with an STD/STI and it won't show up on a test if done too soon after the person was initially infected.
