What was your experience with it growing up? At home, in school?

As you got older, did you experience it in the work place? Out in the street?

I would love to hear any stories that stick out to about being sexually harassed and how it's affected you, if at all.

At my first job female servers would be encouraged to wear skimpy clothing, jewlery, more makeup. The boss would tell them exactly what he wanted to do to them, and reward them with better hours, more shifts, etc.

Now, as an adult, I am proud of myself for never giving in to the pressure, even if it meant less money. I am also ashamed that I never reported this man, who is probably still working there and doing the same thing to other girls.

Waitressing. Nothing major, just a little blip in my life.

    How about you?

I'm not pretty enough to be harassed. :toilet:

I feel this way as well. At least in reference to the job I spoke of in earlier posts. I am certainly not considered attractive by the majority, which can be devastating for a woman, if you allow it to be.

Yes, I've gotten harassed starting in junior high, and up until now I get harassed often if I go out.
