Sextortion Scam

We get these e-mail scams at work all the time.

They generally look something like this one below.

You probably do not know me me and you obviously are definitely interested for what reason you are reading this message, is it right?
I'mhacker who crackedyour emailand digital devicesseveral months ago.
Never try out to communicate with me or alternatively try to find me, in fact it's impossible, because I sent you this message from YOUR hacked account.
I have installed virus on the adult videos (porn) site and guess that you visited this site to have fun (you understand what I mean).
During you were taking a look at movies, your browser began operating like a RDP (Remote Control) with a keylogger that granted me access to your monitor and camera.
Afterward, my softwarestoleall data.
You typed passcodes on the web services you visited, and I already caught them.
Surely, you'll be able to modify them, or have already changed them.
Even so it does not matter, my spyware renews it every 5 minutes.
What I have done?
I made a backup of the system. Of all the files and contact lists.
I formed a dual-screen movie. The 1st screen displays the video that you were watching (you have got a good taste, huh...), and the second screen shows the video from your own web camera.
What should you do?
Good, in my view, 1000 USD is basically a reasonable price for this very little riddle. You'll make your payment by bitcoins (if you do not understand this, go searching “how to purchase bitcoin” in any search engine).

I got a text msg. These guys were going to wipe out my hard drive . or some thing like that if I did not pay them . I sent a msg. back , tell me what operating system I use or I wont talk to you . They said some like shut up . I again ask that what system . After a few messages there guess was windows 8 . As I use Linux Mint I told them I had 5 T bites of porn on my drive and there welcome to it , just messing with them .I got that one form Nigeria that I had won the lottery . I sent back saying that I was poor and to just sent me my winnings to a local store they knew me ect. We need to start a thread , what scams have been tried on you ?

 

Just do what I do and don't read your emails. These problems resolve themselves.

A few of my friends are out 50 bucks each because someone threatened to show them videos of me having sex if they didn't pay.
