I too think men should do there fair share.
But, you are right it is a cultural thing...women are the homesteaders.

Isn't an advert with the man cleaning or looking after the kids etc, a stereotype of a "new man" (I've seen adverts like that)...therefore a cliche in itself.

The truth is women do the brunt of the cleaning and chores around the house...that is just a fact (sorry ladies).

Atleast nowadays adverts are pretty much tongue in cheek and most adverts aknowledge the "lazy man syndrome" and are aware of the changing roles...rather than the awful way women were shown in adverts in previous times.
