Hello. I am recruiting participants (18+ year olds) to take part in an online study on the topic of BDSM (“Bondage and Discipline; Dominance and submission; and Sadism and Masochism”) for my psychology dissertation. Participants who do not take part in BDSM are needed as well as those who do participate so a comparison can to made. The study is examining whether personal well-being and the attainment of common life goals are affected by engaging in BDSM sexual practices. It should take around 20 minutes to complete. The study will ask about sexual topics and experiences. Therefore, please do not take part if these themes will cause distress. Those who do choose to take part can stop at any time (by closing the tab/webpage). For any questions or concerns please contact either, the researcher (Bethany Walker) 13488592@students.lincoln.ac.uk the supervisor (Dr Ross Bartels) rbartels@lincoln.ac.uk or soprec@lincoln.ac.uk. Thank you very much in advance for helping. http://bit.ly/2zBMw4c
I tried, but the study tries to equate BDSM with some kind of mental disorder. One of the questions asked about "recovering" from it.
Yes that is a stigma scale looking at what people think the public's view of BDSM is, what they think of BDSM and how this stigma may affect those who practice. Thank you for bringing up your concerns, I hope that this solves any confusion is there are any more other issues please don't hesitate in contacting me.
