I have to say, I'm still seeing some pretty sexual looking ads. At least, in the split second before my ad-blocker kills them.

Yep, still getting ads with (distorted) pictures of crotches and such. Still humiliating to be on HF around family or people I don't know well. Still can't really browse HF in front of kids. And my adblocker doesn't work with it. Classy.
I was warned in my computer class that this site was showing "inappropriate content".I explained that it was just a hippy/anarchist site and the owners just put up silly sex adds to help fund it.I was allowed to continue browsing the forums but was left feeling pretty seedy.I'm thinking of becoming a site supporter again when I can spare the cash to get rid of the adds.
use chrome or a variation of it to browse here ...the adblock plus addon extension works perfect here personally i use the comodo dragon variation
Sometimes I block the ads but they arent really intrusive on this site and havent ever been really.......
yeah, some ads are really obnoxious. some will like slide slowly across the screen and when u go to close it it slowly unfolds itself into this huge thing that takes up the whole screen. fuckin annoying, and totally distracting.
