Your gender identification radar seems to be out of whack, lately.

    What the others said: wicked.

If I Can Achieve Anything Vaguely Resembling What You Have, I Will Die A

    Happy Man...:).

Just For The Record, All Those Peeps Who Have Wondered What GLEN

Looked Like ,The Second Pic *left profile* Is So Close To Me, It Isn't

    Funny...

I asked you how you started them earlier in this thread, and you didn't answer. I guess that's why. They are nice tho.

What methods did you use on your dreadlocks?

Pardon me, I didn't notice you asked before. The question's already been answered about a thousand times, if you look through my old threads of updates you'd probably see. I shall summarise though, just for you, so I hope you're listening.

I went natural for about a year and half, nothing happened whatsoever. I have already given reasons as to why I saw no progress. Main reason I believe was that my hair wasn't long enough for my hair type (I have very fine and pretty straight hair). Second was that I fiddled with it far too much and probably prevented progress rather than helping it, and lastly I didn't wash it enough so the hair was too greasy to lock  As I've said before I didn't really know what I was doing. So of course I ran into the wrong info on the net, and yeah I did use wax for a period of about six months I guess, then stopped, (I'm a bit vague as far as these dates go). From that point on I have just washed them with varying substances, and nothing else.

Anyway some 4 1/2- 5 yrs later I ran into problems with my hair smelling not too nice when they were wet, so I set to, to try to eradicate the problem, (ACV, tea tree oil, washing up liquid etc). Nothing worked, so I cut several inches of them and others I combed which is the main reason why I have dreads of varying lengths in the pics. The end result was that now I have dreads that don't stink when they're wet which is rather pleasant. I hope that's cleared up any queries you might have.

Just one more thing, if I was to start over, I definitely give neglect another whirl now that I know more. However I'm pretty sure this will be my first, and only set of locks, I'm quite content with them and how they've turned out, time being the main factor here rather than anything else...

Edit, forgot to add, just in case anyone is wondering, I have never bleached my locks, that's just happened over time.

Well I said I would, so here's a couple of official "seven year photos". I think I'll turn this thread into an update thread, and anything else I want to put in it. Went snowboarding last week which was awesome, at least after the first half of the week, once I'd stopping falling over and generally hurting myself:D

I have another question in regards to snowboarding. I love to snowboard and have been going for years. I notice that you have a backpack on, why? So many boarders have backpacks on, what are they for? Is it just for the look? This has always confused me :coffee:
