We say this poem (some say it as a prayer it's up to you ) in AA and it helps me everyday Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. That was the first prayer my sponsor introduced me too. Acceptance is a cornerstone of my 92 days of sobriety. I can not change people places or things. I'm learning that that's one of our common traits. I have to accept what is around me and to concentrate on today and what I can change.
