I've been wanting to fix some of my sensory aversions. I'm looking into some new good smelling laundry products to get rid of the dog smell in my work clothes and work out clothes. Gonna try the Downy UnStoppables laundry stuff. And..... Ive been told many times by Misty about my heavy breathing while I sleep. I wear teeth grinding retainers, so my next step is a sleep therapist. I'm pretty much done with grief counseling so a sleep study would be ideal to get going on to solve some sleep breathing noise issues
I got rid of Misty's ticking clocks. Replacing them with all quiet hands. Oh the peace and quiet........Zzzzzz
I don't know if this counts as sensory aversion exactly but one time I got a very bad case of food poisoning. I don't remember everything I ate that night but specifically remember bruschetta because I projectile vomited tomatoes and ever since I've not been able to even see brusechetta without getting queasy. Also bananas. Something about the texture bothers me. Its like I'm eating fabric or something I love durian. Sure it smells what I imagine hell would smell like but it tastes good and the texture is fantastic
They say there is no slam dunk evidence as to why it has different effects on difference people, but to me it smells like something that died behind the couch a week ago and someone poured paint thinner on it
Its not really rare its just not popular in the west. Its quite popular in some Asian countries... places like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore. Its a tropical fruit. I think they may eat it in certain places in Vietnam and Southern China too.
Thats a good way to put it. Most people complain that it smells like sewage or a fact or something but I always thought it smelled more like chemicals
Touching a bar of soap on the sink that hasn't properly dried yet. Human hair anywhere except on a human head. Loud noise of any kind.
