Oh okay.... there was one other time-quite a few years ago- where a situation happened with me sending a text to the wrong person that was somewhere in between no big deal and embarrassing... I was texting back and forth with two of my guy friends, both by the same first name. One of them started talking about porn because he was going off on a tangent about how he had been doing lines for a couple hrs n how when ever he does blow he always ends up looking at porn. And then he asked me what type of porn I like. I wrote back to him correctly (the right person) for my 1st reply n said something about how I don't watch too much of it but when I do look @ it I prefer amateur stuff and things that don't seem fake. He writes back to that to be more specific- like what type. So, THEN, my other friend (by the same name) writes to me about- I don't know what- and I accidentally replied back to him a cpl sentences about what types of porn I prefer if he was absolutely not gonna give it a rest until I chose. The funny thing about it was I just listed stuff, so to my friend receiving the text that just came out of the blue with seemingly no point other than listing that stuff... I realized it like two mins. later (he hadn't replied yet... I think I was looking thru my sent msg's) and I texted him back and explained that my other friend asked me that question... luckily it was a chill, fun friend of mine I had sent that to and not my mom or like, my brother or something. He just laughed and said "hmmm, that's hilarious... I was wondering what that was all about. haha" So, really no big deal but kinda funny.
Thanks. Yea, my mom's pretty awesome... (although I suppose I am a bit biased, as she is my momma) But, yea, thanks, Aeri. :2thumbsup: (and yea, about the messages to my mom... i'm pretty sure she DID hear something and I think I remember some convos during the time the calls went thru to her that were "not for mommy's ears"--- but she just didn't feel like telling me "yea, I heard this, that and the other" lol. )
That's cool. Yea, that's how I want it to be with my son.. when he's older n all that he knows he can tell me anything and I won't get mad (well, okay... I can't say that, but you know, I'd still be cool about it.) I've always told my mom a lot of stuff- a lot... but not every single thing I'd want to tell her.
My kids and I have only grown closer, with a tighter bond, because of talking about and dealing with things they'd rather not...like my son's problem with alcohol. I shoot from the hip, I take care of business, I don't sweep things under the rug or turn a blind eye. Things are dealt with when they come up; they are met head on with no monkey business. My kids know where they stand with me. They know that I'm straight talking and fair. They know I want the very best for them and their children. They know they are loved to the core.
I used to babysit for a couple like 5 years ago, and the guys number was in my phone as 'Chris W'.. which needless to say I had two drugs dealers with that first name and last initial... So I texted him once that said 'anything around?' and another time asking about oxys which later I covered up with something about oxyclean....... needless to say when I ended up going to rehab they realized the texts were more incriminating than I lead on. I also have talked shit about friends to their phones/faces through texts... like "lauras being such an asshole" .."I mean lauren** fucking autocorrect! but yeah she keeps trying to _______" It's so easy to cover this sort of stuff up when it comes to friends. just not parents, or people you babysit for.
I did that once I was texing my sister and another texted came in from my mom's boyfriend so when I texted her back it went to him instead wasn't anything bad or that would get me in trouble but still I just got this phone last x-mas so I'm still getting the hang of it
Back in the day, my daughter's friends were here and the cordless phone had slipped between the couch cushions. A guy was tickling his girlfriend on the couch and she was going crazy yelling "No! Stop It!" etc. A few minutes later, the phone rang and I answered it in the kitchen. It was 911 Dispatch asking me if everything was okay. I'm like "What are you talking about?" Then she told me about the call that came from my house with the female screaming for help...
I used to text my team leaders up at work to check on them because I didn't want to call and pull them away from a rush and knew when they got a minute, they'd check their cells and once I was texting one my numbers to log into the system so she could check on something for me and texted someone completely different just a series of numbers and "thanks so much". I realized a little while later that I had texted the wrong number but I never got a response, so they probably didn't think much of it. Neighbor up the road got several texts of very explicit pictures the other day, haha. She said she told them, "I think you have the wrong number" but they just kept coming. People around here are kind of dumb. And I'm always getting texts and calls for the girl who had this number before me. The texts are never anything weird, usually just seems like old friends trying to catch up (though I've been around in my day and know that some of them seem kind of like they're trying to score something). I've gotten some WEIRD calls for this chick. Notices of arrest warrants, a private investigator kept calling for awhile, the city she's from keeps threatening to remove her water meter, and the other night I got a call from a local county's detention center that I didn't answer. lol...Something tells me that "Angela" is up to no good. Also she owes EZPawn like $200 and it took several responses of "STOP" to get them to stop texting me over it. lol
Haha that's funny Kinky! The guys who had my phone before me (Kenny Garcia) apparently didn't tell his family that he got a new phone number, because I constantly get texts in Spanish from people, and the first or second day I got my phone I got a group message with a picture of all these chubby spanish kids and a new born baby.. it was really funny though. The only reason I know his name is Kenny Garcia is because his name still comes up on people's caller ID.
Hello, don't worry, I like the photo :mickey:. Well, I don't text, so the problem is mostly unknown to me . Regards Gyro
Fortunately, I've only sent MAYBE 5 text messages in my entire life, so this has never happened to me. I don't even own a cellphone. lol
Only once. I was texting my daughter and instead sent it to my son. Considering it was a generic text it did not matter much.
I'm really wondering why four people thumbs downed this post. I hope it's not because people are doing the equivalent of talking shit on my mom. That would just be pretty messed up! (I guess because I now see that some people are thumbing down all of aeri's posts I won't take it like that..about my mom n all)
Someone needs their thumbs to be broken. Seems just about anything Aeri is posting someone is thumbing it down. Very mature lot.
Wow.... Yeah, haha...that oxyclean thing is so funny... And I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that something similar to my story (different but about the same topic) has happened to. That really sucks when that happens! And you know, no way in hell my mom would be buying the story that my husband and I told his mom (basically... it would be a really long story to explain it all, but she was gonna be coming over n giving us money- which she did come over and she did give us money...which is just crazy considering the text she had received! His mom is really gullible though, I suppose.. or she just wants to believe, ya know? But after she accidentally received the one text we ended up telling her that I had "accidentally on purpose" sent her that text because I had suspected D was doing certain things again n I was trying to get her to not give us any money... without actually coming out and saying "don't give us money"... and that I had since talked further with D and realized I had been wrong and that I was sorry for that... that it was a childish idea and I wasn't thinking about it correctly and I was def. wrong n felt stupid about it n the whole idea."---- so, she bought THAT. yea.
