This morning, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, along with Senators Wyden and Merkley, introduced the Hemp Farming Act, a historic bill that will reestablish industrial hemp as a major agricultural crop in America, benefiting the environment, farmers, consumers, the budding American hemp industry, and the economy in all States and Tribal Nations. The Hemp Farming Act will make hemp eligible for competitive grants and federal crop insurance, it will protect hemp extracts and derivatives (such as CBD), and it will remove all DEA jurisdiction over hemp and many other barriers the American hemp industry has come up against over the last few years. This truly a historic day! As a board member of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, Bluebird had the honor and privilege to provide input on this legislation as it was drafted over the last few months. Hemp is much better than trees since it grows quicker. Before we decided it was wrong to be "high" from a plant hemp was used all the time. Happy to see this happen.
Don't know? Maybe McConnell wants oneupsmanship with Boenher who sign onto a hemp company board. I kinda sorta was thinking the rest of the states would try to be like Colorado after a few years. Colorado is making billions...both people and government!
The founding fathers were all high when they created the constitution....back then it was mandatory to grow it if you owned land. The Rise and Fall of Marijuana
This is just the first step toward making the growing of marijuana illegal for anyone not sanctioned by corporate America
