Well let me first point out that some of the newer translations you might have a point. Yet that is why I keep my old King James by my side. Yet you can feel confident that the older Bibles we have today are accurate because of the descovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls back in 1947. The scrolls remained untouched for over 2,000 years and existed before there was a church. Also a great number of copies of the bible had been produced over many centuries and in many lands. Because of this, we can look at these copies and we discover all but a few that came out of Egypt, read the same.

If you look around you will be sure to find more information on this subject I'm sure. Ron wyatt before he passed away claims to of found noahs ark, but I believe it is still up on the mountain. I talked with a man that was involved in the group that was to go up and check it out last year, but Turkey refused them acess to the mountain. They now have A GPS target, but must wait for government approval before that happens. It is very hard to get Moslem nations to allow people from western nations permits to explore these sites. This has been the big problem from the beginning.

 

Depends on your defintion of hell. I personally dont believe in eternal damnation (no loving God would create millions of souls he knows through prophecy would experience this). I think hell is not experiencing union with God while on Earth. And if you dont you will reincarnate as many times as it takes till you do. Born again in Christ, IMHO is awakening the spirit of God/Source within us. Such as all the saints of all the religions have done.

i am sure i've seen a programme on the history channel about king solomon. Basically saying that the time the Bible gave for his empire has been proven by archologists to not have been possible. Jerusalem at the time of king solomon was just a tiny village, it was much later that it became a major town and city. So this is one instance that the Bible accuracy has been out.

The Bible was probably written so experts claim hundreds of years after king solomon so the facts were not correct. Later stories were more accurate. So if this is God's book why are the dates wrong?

 

The Bible also states that it is appointed unto man once to be born and then the judgement. The idea that you keep being born comes from a religion that is not supported by scripture. The God of the Bible created Hell for the Devil and his angles. Yet if human kind rejects Gods gift of salvation, then you have by your own choice given yourself to the other side. That is why Christ states, '' how shall they neglect so great a salvation?'' The Bible speaks of Hell, and it speaks of it as a place of eternal torment. That is why Christ died on the cross. To save mankind from this place. Christ would not have to of died on the cross if you could keep being born over and over again.

 

In my experiences over the years, everytime one of these experts come out with this type of assesment they are proven wrong time after time. Yet once proven wrong, you don't hear the brass band come out to announce it like it does when they first make their statement. They have recently found the Red Sea crossing site and two Granit pillars marking where the Children of Israel first entered the sea and exited. Found carved in the pillars where the names of Solomon, Moses, Pharoah, and Jehovah. This event took place 400 years before Solomon. Divers are now finding the remnants of Pharoahs army that was lost when God closed the sea over them. Some of the artifacts they have discovered have been dated to the time the Bible indicates this event took place. Archologist can and do speculate about times and dates, but there is nothing like good hard evidence which is often discovered after they have made their statements of error. Yet these statements seem to get all the press, while often the real evidence is ignored.

 

In my eyes true love can only be unconditional. Anything less isnt love.

Christanity is teaching God doesnt have this quality. When truely it is man who doesnt, man who cant forgive.

You are stating God is a needy jealous God, who demands of us. When truely it is man who is needy and jealous.

This needy jealous God sounds like Man and of a Human Monarch.

No God of unconditional perfect love of which Jesus speaks.

It's why I feel large parts of the Bible are the work of man, and man alone.

I believe the only punishment in life is to be seperate from God, and a sinful selfish life will produce this. I do not however believe this will be eternal. Indeed I dont even believe it a punishment, but a blessing. It allows us to see the magnificence of God's love, by experiencing life without it.

People in general may have a lot of ideas about God. Yet unless your belief if built on a sound foundation of evidence, your ideas are only imaginary. When the Bible offers solid proof of it's claims, which in many cases especially now can be verified. It would be foolish to dismiss this Book, and base your salvation on your own personal imaginary belief. The Bible states that there is a way that seems right unto man, but the end there of, are the ways of death. Also, if the Bible is simply the work of men, the prophecies of this Book should of failed many times, because only God knows the future. Yet, a close look at the prophecies will reveal that they have never failed, and even today are coming to pass.

When I was 23 years old back in 1973, I had encounters with two demonic beings who voiced their fear of Hell. It was real to them, and some of the Christians that were present in the room with me, heard them speak of this place. It was an intense spiritual battle that took place that day. One of the demonic beings was told that if he did not leave, God would destroy him. He said, ''it would be better, to be destroyed, than to burn in hell.'' These beings were evil, and they feared the name of Christ. I and another person began to hear it's screams. A woman from across the room could see him burning up on the floor. I did not see that, but I could hear what was going on. If you tell Christ to take His gift of salvation and shove it, there is no other name provided, for heavens entry. ( This was a true story. )

 

Nobody told christ to take his name and shove it. What we said wa sthat it is not the ONLY means to salvation. Why? Because other names are also pointers to the same divinity that was christ. The name of christ is a label, like any other label. Look not at the finger, but where it points.

 

Nobody said that verbally, but when you say there are other names that will lead people to salvation, then you are directly counterdicting scripture. For it states in 1 John chapter 5 verse 11, that God has given us eternal life. And verse 12, states that he that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Jesus said Himself, that no man comes unto the Father but by me. If you do not agree with that statement, then you are saying Jesus is a liar. The Bible clearly states that there is no other name given unto men to be saved but the name Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is not just pointing the way to God. Jesus Christ is God. That is why the scriptures say, HE WAS IN THE WORLD, THE WORLD WAS MADE BY HIM, AND THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT. Jesus also said that I am the reserection and the life, whosoever BELIEVES IN ME shall not perish, but shall have everlastring life. Jesus tells you, whosoever believes in me. No other names are suggested or mentioned. The Bible is clear on this. And also the Bible states that wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there be that go in there at, but narrow is the way that leads to eternal life, and few there be that find it. Any names out side of Jesus Christ will take you through the wide gate and the broad way. Only the narrow way leads to eternal life, and you must ask Jesus Christ personally, for permission to enter that way.

 

I interrupt Jesus Christ as always meaning Christ consciousness (Fully enlightened being). And I do believe this is the only way to salvation and life eternal.

I just dont believe Jesus of Nazareth was the only man to be christed and receive Christ consciousness.

As I believe Jesus Christ was God realised, I believe everyone in every religion will be personally asking his permission to enter life eternal. They will just be using the name Buddha, Krishna or Allah.

I believe the greatest secret any Master has brought us is.

Beautiful Phil. To put it another way, all names are names of the same christ. Does it matter which name you use? Just as it doesnt matter if you say Jesus or if you say Christ, they refer to the same identity. Same way that other names also refer to the same identitiy. In India Christians use the name Yesu in referring to Christ. Will they go to hell for pronouncing it differently?

Yes, you are right, there is no other way except the jesus way, if we follow it , then we realize the truth. When we make sure jesus is in our hearts, then we realize the truth. Jesus is good, therefore, we have to be good, jesus is tolerant of everyone- even people as brutal as the romans, so we also have to be tolerant, compassionate... everything like that. He is life, whoever follows his path of compassion, tolerance and love will never perish.

Yes...I very much agree that we should all try to be like Jesus...he set a wonderful example for us all to follow...this was actually part of a movie I just finished watching not 5 minutes ago... (in paraphrase)...look at Jesus the human not just as Divine...including and kindness...not exclusion and hatred.

 

The Bible clearly teaches that there is only one mediator between man and God and that is the man Christ Jesus. All names are not the same, and none of the names you have mentioned gave themselves as a ransom for sin on the cross.
And many of the faiths you have mentioned donot believe that Jesus Christ is God, which the Bible clearly states He is. Jesus Christ alone, created the world.
