you can even get one ready to fly, in that price range, that has the go-pro camera already mounted. even real time video ones.
how long we'll still be able to have them i don't know, as people are already bitching about that they make it possible for their neighbors to see into their back yard, as if the google satilite didn't do that already.
but there are those who want you to have to get some kind of permit from the f.a.a.

i'd just like to be able to watch the trains in the railroad yard that there's no good place to physically watch them from. problem is with the toy ones, they deliberately don't have as much range as you could easily walk, nor are the likely to be able to remain aloft and observing for very long at a time. yes i've watched lots of youtube made with them. and they do look like great fun.
