Seeing NZ

    Where are some good places and areas to visit when travelling to NZ? Although Im not able to right now, I would love to know for when I do go to see NZ sometime in the (hopefully very near) future. Cool...thanks

    Well from what i've visited and liked...id recommend:

    milford sound and the other fjords(the drive from Te Anau is great)

    queenstown

    kaikoura and the area from there to nelson are spectacular.

    Wellington was great

    the region around lake taupo was really nice- probably have to see rotorua, but bring noseplugs.

    Auckland, christchurch and dunedin are nice, but there are nicer places to visit if you're only here for a short while.

    Tongariro National Park - its near Taupo and is really really beautiful.

    Wellington rules the world.

    go to google and type in "new zealand sightseeing" I'm sure you'll get heaps.

    and all around the abel tasman park area is stunning, purty beaches and so on.

    and if you are here in summer, then same with futher north - hot water beach is great, you dig holes in the sand and they fill up with hot water and the other beaches with white sands and pohutukawas are wicky too.
