I’ve always liked seeing my friends naked, especially other guys. I took a martial arts class when I was 10 and got used to changing and showering with other males. Had no problem with locker room nudity in high school. In my high school, boys would swim naked. Some guys actually had trouble With that, but I was all ready for it.
Don’t get me wrong, I like to see women naked too. I just feel more comfortable around buddies while I’m naked.
But how many do you get to play with? women that is, there more fun than blokes, no what I mean nudge nudge.
I can keep nudity and sex separate. I am straight, but not narrow about sex, but don’t automatically associate nudity with sex.
I feel ya there, man. Even growing up, I wished my friends were as comfortable being naked as I was. Male, female, didn't matter. Just would have been nice not to be alone and/or made to feel ashamed about it.
Seems you was the real deal and they was the stand offs, I would not worry as your the real man amongst wimps that's the way I see it.

I was always comfortable with being naked in the appropriate context, and do to this day on saunas/spas and on clothes optional beaches. Perfectly used when growing up to communal showers and being naked amongst other boys. There were some who were uncomfortable with this, but most were OK.
Erections happened a couple of times but were not a regular occurrence. Most of the boys were perfectly comfortable and treated nudity for showering as one of those things.
Growing up I accidentally saw or had friends show me their ass or dick, haven't been actively looking to see buddies naked as a grown man, though.
I don’t look at nudity as sexual unless it is with a girl and personal. Nudity does not bother me and never has. I guess it is the way I was brought up in Germany. I remember going to the outdoor pools when I was a kid and there were no change rooms. Everyone just changed right there without a care in the world. Seeing people naked (buddies or not) does not bother me nor does it if someone sees me naked.
I have no issues seeing my buddies nude, or anyone nude. If I am nude then I am doing it to be comfortable.
I am a straight male yet have always enjoyed being naked and being around both men and women. I like the male, and the female form and do not have any homophobic issues in seeing or being around other male genitalia. I am a nudist not just for the comfort of it, but I like the openness about it all as well. I am a visual person. I like seeing and being seen. Additionally, I like the honesty of it all. Our best friends were ones we met at a week long naked vacation. They pretty much saw every inch of me and my wife and us them through climbing in and out of the pool and loungers. You get much less concerned about exposing your hidden parts when you have been drinking all day LOL. There is no shame between us and we can talk about anything. It is very refreshing to have friends like that. It is interesting to see so how many “nudists” still hang on to many of their textile prudish modesty.
One of my fondest memories of years past, was walking around a nudist club where they were having a car show while we were there. There was a young couple with a young baby walking around as well. We stopped and chatted with them for about ten minutes. The whole time she was breastfeeding her baby while we played with its little toes. That is beauty in the human form.
