This is about infertility and one of the reasons that so many more women are finding themselves infertile is that they are waiting till they are older to try and have babies...Whilst there are probaly women climbing up to that glass ceiling and screwing men over there are a multitude more looking for a loving partner. Not fair to tar all women with the brush of a few...I only made my point about the men as a response because I thought that bagging woman for waitong till they were older as being purely their fault was a little unfair...seems to me that both males and females are waiting except for woman there is a biological clock...not really either sexes fault. More something that younger people might have bought to their attention and for all people to be thought about.:)
Honestly IronGoth is there no issue where you see positive apects in women?

Yes, adoption is not for the faint of heart. We lost the first two little girls that we were in line for. One because the country we were adopting from changed their rules. The other because the birth grandmother did not know that her daughter had a child. When she found out she demanded that she be given the child. The young 18 year old mother felt that she had to comply with her mother's wishes. In that case, I'm glad the baby is growing up family who love her. But it was heartbreaking for us. We had just returned from spending a wonderful week with her when we found out.

Yeah I agree about raising a child. I just couldn't think of the right word to use right then. I started to say that I wanted to have a child with my husband, but that wasn't what I meant either. I like the idea of raising an adult. So far I've raised five of them.

That is NOT how an open adoption works. An open adoption is mean to allow the child to know his biological roots, and for the birth mother (or parents) to have at least the semblence of a relationship with their child so that there is no distrust or emotional issues later on for either party.

The biological parents don't ever take their child back as their own. They gave him up. He belongs to another family. They happily agreed to fulfill the big sister/aunt role instead.

IronGoth, as a product of an open adoption, I take offense to your assumption that adoption works that way.
