It looks like they are smartening up targeting the police state apparatus.

Why do I enjoy the sight of that burning ?

    JULY 15, 2020 5 AM
A 16-year-old boy being held at a Los Angeles County juvenile hall developed enlarged breasts after he was prescribed and forced to take estrogen to treat a behavioral disorder, a move that baffled doctors who said the treatment defied medical logic, according to a lawsuit filed last month.

The teen, whose identity is being withheld because of his age, was diagnosed with "oppositional defiant disorder", or ODD, two days after he was arrested and housed at Eastlake Juvenile Hall in June 2019, the lawsuit said. Medical records reviewed by The Times show that the teen’s testosterone levels were “slightly high” when the doctor who diagnosed him prescribed daily doses of estrogen.

Estrogen regulates the development of female sexual characteristics and reproduction. Men produce the hormone at much lower levels.

After taking approximately 13 daily doses of the hormone, the teen was diagnosed with gynecomastia, defined as the enlargement or swelling of breast tissue in males whose estrogen level is too high, medical records show.

Also, police said protesters broke out windows at a King County court facility.

Earlier this week King County Executive Dow Constantine, in response to long-standing demands by community activists, said he would work to eliminate youth detention centers in the county by 2025.

Sorry dickhead, looks like the protesters starting getting it done yesterday.

I am not quite sure whether adding Estrogen to an excess quantity of Testosterone is such a good idea. They will probably end up with a thug with big boobs and 2 boxes of matches.

Regarding the youth center. Why not let all the delinquents out and let them set fire to the entire city.

Rather than criticize, how about some realistic suggestions on how to resolve the problems that seem to blight parts of the US at the moment.

Unlike adult jail, juvenile places are psychiatric torture centers. The violate body integrity and force drugs.

"how about some realistic suggestions on how to resolve the problems that seem to blight parts of the US at the moment"

The police state has to be knocked down to size.

I have no sympathy for real criminals. I remember that sack of ___ in jail that bragged about robbing houses and getting jewelry. I hated that dude.

But the sacks of ___ were the minority.

Most people has issues with either drugs or alcohol. Alcohol causes some bad behavior but the drug people were only hurting themselves.

"possession" of a controlled substance. No victim coming to court to claim damages but they got their lives effed anyway. Jail time court costs fines fees probation licence revocation..

Basically you got issues with anxiety depression all this system does is give you more... Take your licence steal your money... Its a money making trap.

Its a bad feedback loop. I saw these kids coming in their first drug charge, when in Rome do as the Romans do... they quickly starting picking up on the jail criminal looser culture. I watched as their inner identities we converted into the idea they were criminals and they started playing the part.

Me I was their for a so called DUI. I was under .08 and was not getting coerced into a plea bargain. FU I will stay here and waste the states resources.

I saw people in jail for trespassing in there own buildings.

So many survival crimes, people driving to work on suspended licences cause they got a pile of BS tickets and decided buying food for there children and continuing to drive to work was the best course of action.

""how about some realistic suggestions on how to resolve the problems that seem to blight parts of the US at the moment"

The best suggestion is for the young people in these protests to keep the pressure on. Those psychos running things protests and violence is the only language they understand.

They dont give a F about anyone's lives. They have no souls. They got a nice job in the system, pension and benefits. A gravy train.

Democracy, especially as of late is a flawed system. Protesting is a correction method for its flaws. 1st amendment is old shit they knew that.

That was a good score last night burning that future youth torture facility.

"Earlier this week King County Executive Dow Constantine, in response to long-standing demands by community activists, said he would work to eliminate youth detention centers in the county by 2025."

    FU dude. 2025

You got enough of these places, a kid acts out a few weeks of time out and maybe some therapy but FU and your 'cash for kids' detention centers

But the royal terrorists, the terrorists by the grace of God and the law, are in practice brutal, disdainful, and mean, in theory cowardly, secretive, and deceitful, and in both respects disreputable.

It sounds as if things are far from perfect in your part of the US. Here in the UK, our police only shoot about 6 people every year and they all deserve it. I was shocked when I heard that more than 1,000 people were shot dead by the police last year in the US, particularly the 35 innocent bystanders. We have only had one mistaken police shooting in the past 3 decades and that was at the height of a terrorist attack. People still talk about it and remember the guys name 30 years later.
Needless to say, things are not perfect here, but we seem to treat people more fairly when they are having problems.
Have you ever visited this strange country where none of our everyday police carry guns and less than 10% carry tazer's.
