I like what you do with your scrap copper Jo King. The halibut is my favorite.

Heyy, that's really cool! My uncle was big into welding, he would weld our names so we could put them on the entrance to our driveways, or just curbs if it was more residential. Something simple. I haven't seen the rest of his work though, he was really good and loved western cowboy pieces.

I have a huge pile of scrap cooper and I am going to turn it into a pile of cash one day. Why you might ask? Because I have no talent to do anything else with it.

I heard about a guy that tried to steal some 500kcmil cable from a building. He removed the meter before he cut into it but it wasn't metered in the usual way so it was still hot. It was a 480v 3 phase feed and blew his face right off...like seriously he has no face now:eek: FAIL!

Coppers interesting, the more you push and pull it the harder it gets, it's alive. But if you anneal it, it softens up again.
I really should take a class from someone that knows more.

I got a call from a friend of a friend today and he wants to buy one of my copper canoes.
I hate coming up with a price and I always chicken out and ask for less than what I think I should charge. So this time I gave him the price (double of what I got for the last one) and all he said was when can I pick it up?
I told him 3 or 4 weeks depending on how it goes. It takes me about 4 days to get one finish.

I soldered, if I count correctly, 14 joints in the past 3days. that is a close I get to copper work. I enjoy it tho, not the broken pipe part. but I do kinda like the task and put pressure back in line have no leaks.[IMG].
