yesterday i slept on the couch and woke up to a beautiful sunrise... i stayed on the couch looking at it for about 5 mins before going back to bed... orange.. amazing, don't see that often like that..

id take a picture but my camera eats batteries now... sucks, basically worthless.

i have an old electric hard wired wall heater that i kind of removed...it shorted out last year and nearly kilt my kid.....gonna replace it with something new and economical....his bedroom is one 2 rooms with no heating vent...the other is my bathroom

 

give him some extra heavy blankets, keep the door open just a little, he will be fine.

 

electric bed warmers. mine cost 60bucks. I had another one that cost 40 didnt do shit on the highest setting. new one, set to L first setting makes bed perfectly warm and the air around nice, cool and fresh for sleeping.

Could you not put in either an air tight or a pellet stove?

My friend has a pellet stove and it heats the house really well. It is more economical than electric and it is a clean burn, no smells and not a lot of residue.

Well I'm in position for it and ready to do so, found the cutest 3 bedroom house that I really like. It's not big, but I'm not having kids and it'll do fine for two people easily. I'll be disappointed if I don't get it but so far it's the only house I've looked at.

I'd rather use wood I harvest instead of buying pellets... It just hasn't happened yet. There would be enough dead fall every year to heat for a good part of the season.

 

Hopefully you can get one installed soon as it will sure be needed before long.

I agree if you have the wood it is far more practical to use it rather than the expense of something else.

 

we bid on 3 houses before getting this one. have hope. if you dont get one then its not meant to be. in retrospect i think this one is the best of all the ones we looked at.
