But yeah. 40 hours a week.

i know someone that cleans an office 20hrs a week and make $381.oo , if only that was full time ,, i might even lick some nuts for a full time @760 a week..

It's over 300 before taxes and health insurance. My supervisor and I were in a room, separated from anyone else. So no one could hear us. When he went to tell me what my new wages were WITH raise taken into account, he wrote it on a piece of paper. Couldn't say it out loud is my guess.

Minimum wage in indiana is 7.25. I'm making just over 8.25 an hour.

I was 15 minutes late for work this morning... I work way out of town and the shop we meet at in the morning is at the bosses house because its on his property, he owns a huge farm and whatnot... So I get there and he asks why i'm late, I said "sorry there was a ton of traffic" and he gives me this unimpressed "no, seriously?" kind of look, because its way out of town there literally is no traffic... and i'm like "i'm serious! There was a ton of traffic, there was like 12 cars ahead of me back there at the 4-way stop even" (when usually there's none, ever) and he didn't believe me cause he didn't have to drive anywhere yet to go to work obviously..

And i'm like "a plane crashed on the highway so all the roads are backed up" and he's like "yea fuckin right, get your ass in the van and don't be late again" i'm like i'm serious!?...

He believed me once we left a small little plane or something legitimately crashed on the highway... The roads were insane alll day... the most random roads too out of town... it looked like some sort of 'end of the world' movie scene where everyones trying to flee the city, cars just parked there inching along for hours on so many roads it was crazy.. didn't do shit all for work though, spent half the day stuck in traffic so it was nice

 

golly. it's 8.95 here.

 

I got lucky with how little I'm paying. Plus I got my girl working the same job with me, so as a couple we do okay. I'm not eating breadcrumbs here, it's just a bummer. I COULD get a job at amazon down in Indy and start at 10.25, but I heard they treat you like a dog.

It's not so bad man. I get 10 free books a year. I'm covered medically etc.

On a more positive note, I'm watching a documentary.

i made $8.10 last time i was working, 8 years ago. i need to get a job, so we can get out of the debt. we are thinking about consolidating the card debt onto our lowest rate card, or taking out a personal loan at a good rate and paying them off with it, and doing a few things around the house.
