I like to keep up on anti-psychiatry. There are varyng degrees of it. I'm middle -of-the-road, generally thinking depressed people should try an anti-depressant medication. At the same time, I think the drug companies largely run the psychiatric profession, and that psychiatrists should be embarassed that their profession thinks itself above criticism nd inspection.

Kinda like police departments! Which don't want civilian review. Personally, I think both cops and shrinks should be forced to take mental health evaluations every year.

The following site is good. Check it and its forums out:

Yes I can go on all day as to how their whole game is madness. I mean it's really far out to consider the psychological Handle their institutions have on the average Full blown consumerism junkie. The job position of a pro psychiatrist has Such an influence on the dynamics of how we survive in our personal relationships. And I feel that this profession of psychiatrist is should reeeeeally be revised and handled with more care.

I am not "anti psychiatrist". I think that the science of the brain is a good thing. However I am very concerned that just like in other areas of health care BIG PHARMA controls the profession. They create new concoctions for us to becme addicted to, then demand that doctors peddle them to us. Not anything useful or mind expanding like LSD, rather, emotion blunting mind crushing brain chemical modifiers that can be seriously damaging to your mental health in the long run. And the doctors play right along. And the patients are too stupid to ask questions.
