Does anyone actually believe / trust either anymore?? It seems much of what we've learned up until about 2016-2017 was accepted in the fields of science and technology. But since the "all-knowing one ..... on every subject" muddied the FACTUAL picture, we now have a segment of our population in the U.S. that thinks actual facts are BS made up to confuse them. We even had a dyed-blond, White House "press secretary" who declared there are "alternative facts." Try and grasp THAT notion .......... alternative facts. You CANNOT have 2 opposing "truths." But now we have "flat earthers", wildfires started by "Jewish space lasers", the sun revolves around the earth believers, climate change deniers, Covid is hogwash / nothing to worry about, etc. Stupidity has found very fertile ground here these days.
Rest assured, that the banks and Wall Street are still true believers in modern science, which is providing all the technology required for billionaires to colonize Mars and self-contained bomb shelters.
if you expect to know the universe on absolute terms, you're doing it wrong. science works precisely because it does not depend on anyone believing in it. we just don't live in the kind of universe "belief" paints a picture of. we do live in one that one or more gods could live in or beyond, but that has nothing to do directly with what we tell each other to pretend about it or them either. science is when hundreds or more people, with different beliefs and perspectives, all come to the same conclusion, about a particular thing, by observing and testing, real evidence. calling anything else science, is creating a straw dog for no other reason then to be able to discredit it.
