This is very interesting. The quote below doesn't reflect my experience with K though. It's been good to me. lol

Didn't you mention you have schizophrenia? Maybe Ketamine works on you akin to speed on people with ADHD where it supposedly calms them down and helps them focus, has the paradoxical effect(s).

I wouldn't go to bat for the idea but just speculating.

If I went down the checklist of positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia, K checks alot of the boxes but for some reason, I don't really view it as schizophrenic-like either.

I'm puzzled as to whether this is an aspect of Ketamine's deceptive allure or words fail us.

Yes, I mentioned it and I do have it. You could be right about the effects being different for me. It always made me calm, not like a rapid-fire thinking that I get with a psychotic episode. But maybe I'm just remembering wrong... lol.

Ketamine makes me calm as well but it could be that it's anesthetic propreties mask alot of the psychotic effects.

  6. Maybe they can transform schizos into normal people. I'm sure there will be a celebration for each and every one of us. Your love has not gone unnoticed.

If we keep identifying genes that keep people from being crazy, and correcting them, how will we find someone to be president?

That's because these gene findings are too recent to know exactly what will come of this.

Genes just code for proteins and RNA, there is no information in DNA beyond that

They are talking about the genes responsible for encoding parts of glutamate receptors

There is no such thing as genes that cause schizophrenia, thats just the way it gets presented by the writer of the article in bridging the gap between the complexity of the study and explaining it to the reader, the everyday layman

If they're able to generate designer babies free of disease, then isn't that basically saying they can switch the disease off through DNA manipulation?
