I brand and scar myself, I think its totally fine... i really want the side piercings with the corest ribbon. that would be so hot...
I'm really in to the kind of corsetting where CBRs are put through the skin, and laced up...(i know i post aobut this a lil while ago before this part of the forums exsisted...) i would love to do my arms, ive seen it done in the back...and it just looks elegant, or rebelous, depending on the materal that it's laced with...i would do it in a heart beat, if only i could figure out a way to do it perminatly...im not into "fun piercings", which is what i was told corsetting is
found this example for you...I think it looks amazing. I can see how it would be hard for any of these piercings to be permanent though as they would be likely to work their way out. still looks cool!
the corset-ribbon stuff looks gorgeous... a girl on suicidegirls has it on her back. It also looks painful too... I'm way too much of a wimp to get that done. I'll just admire it on other people.
Um... Okay... I'm thinking that if you saw that up close and in color, it would look gross. I'll bet the holes are all red and raw-looking, 'cause jesus, how long would that all take to heal? Anyway, my question for you is when you talk about piercings "working their way out," how does that occur? It's not like my earring hole has worked its way to the bottom of my earlobe. I just don't understand the mechanism whereby piercings work their way out, especially if a decent hunk of skin is pierced. Like, one day a person's eyebrow ring would just suddenly find itself pushed out of their eyebrow? How could that girl in this picture end up with those rings, hooked through so much flesh, working out? I have to admit, I'm getting an education here regarding what else people do in the world... -Jeffrey
usualy corsetting is known as a "fun piercing"...you do thepiercing...take a few pictures and take them out...piercings are known to migrate as a immune systemresponce...im not sure exacaly how this works...but imsure you cna find this information out somewhere
Some parts of the body are more likely to have piercings migrate out...sounds like they are going to move overseas hey!!! If the piercing is too shallow this will happen...even in the ear...so the piercing has to be done at the right depth, good reason to get someone who knows what they are doing to do it! And then certain parts of the body just are more susceptible to this happening...like wrstlergrlx said the corsetting ones are not long term ones and generally done for the benefit of the piercee...buzz gotten and that sorta thing...in terms of everyday piercings and this happening I have known one or two people this happened to but I don't know the whys and whereofs
i think corset piercings are so gorgeous...i'd never do it. BMEZINE.com had an article on this. It's not permanent, so afterwards your pretty much left with scars depending on how it heals or how it was done.
i read that article...it gave a few examples for how it can be perminate...and now once i turn 18...well lets just say its gonna be one to remember...lol
i have a few friends that are into suspension. i like the idea but i am too chicken to ever try it. watching it sometimes is hard enough- the way the skin stretches... scarification is beautiful if done right, an ex of mine had some tribal designs carved into his leg... it looked really crazy. i have been corset training for about 6 months now. im not sure how far i want to take it- i dont think i want to go any lower than 20inches on my waist. my waist naturally is about 27" and lately with my training ive been getting down to about 23"-24" depending. when i get around to it i'll post some pictures. as for being uncomfortable..... it is and it isnt. it gives you very good posture... i try and not take it off so much when i eat and most nights i sleep with it on.
that corset piercing looks really kool. those would be some scars tho, man. i think that'd be kool to get done, but i bet it would hurt like fuck. peace & love.
I was just gonna mention that article. As they said, if its done with CBR's, its almost doomed for failure. It needs to be done with surface bars, and its still can be problematic. I've seen a couple in person. They look awesome if they can be healed, but both of the ones I saw looked rather irritated, crusty, and pissed off. peace
i thought that's what corsetting was......buuuut apparantly i was wrong hehe. man....i really mean no offense to anyone in this thread, but i personally find that shit disturbing. I think it's been put in my head as disturbing because that's how it's usually portrayed in movies and on tv, as "freakish" or "kinky"...you know...just "REALLY out there". It's like, the one standard opinion that media has fed me that has stuck with me, and is irreversible. i can't help it, i just cringe when i think about that stuff. But, whatever floats your boat right?
Kinky is fun :-D....Of course...I watched Strange Land when it came out....and I'm only 17...Do the math
