No one is gonna show any scars?

After 7 decades I got a few, some really noticeable and the majority just there.

Here are a few of my more interesting scars.

In 2005 I broke my leg and had surgery that left a scar so a few years later I covered it with a tattoo of the broken bone.

Jen, I'd be able to see more clearly if you turn around. ;)

Not a scar yet, just got a little Basal Cell cut out of my face. But it will be a scar someday.

BTW, care to tell what those scars are from? Inquiring (nosy) minds want to know.

Looks like spinal surgery on the almost unnoticeable scar but the large cut IDK - Kidney?

Then the vertical cut on your upper buttock ??

    OUCH!
It looks like it corrected the curvature. Did you avoid pain after surgery?

I have mild scoliosis which seems more noticeable as I get older but no real problem.

Some of my scars go back to childhood.

I was a kid at an inner city school and the playground bordered a trash heap which was the more interesting place to play. I tripped on some wire and fell forward putting out my hand which went into a broken beer bottle. Probaly woulda been stitched in later times but in 1950 just cleaned and bandaged, leaving a lifelong scar.

My grandmother gave me a knife, which I sharpened and apparently cut something the wrong way and it slipped. Another lifelong scar.

I was an older teen using an old WWII Japanese sword bayonet that my uncle brot home from the war to trim some bushes. I hit a tuff branch and it sprang back. My relaxed my arm just let the blade fall down hitting my knee cap. I almost fainted when I looked at the bleeding and saw white (My patella) Again, woulda been stitched except I was in Mississippi.

    A couple of Surgery Scars

They weren't bad hernias, just little bulges that would have become hernias. I was 43 and opted for surgery then rather than wait until I was old and it would have been more dangerous. This same operation now is done by laparoscopy and does not leave such scars.

Most basal cell carcinomas look pink and occasionally bleed. This went unnoticed because it was different. When finally noticed it took a full workday of cutting, testing and cutting some more until they got all the cancerous edges. This was a huge cut.
