Well I went with this scale here for the time being. It measures in 0,01 grams but it was only 20 euros:[IMG]
It looks good to me :)

This (or a similar model) was also my first scale. Does a good job for measuring MDMA and things like that. Also useable for most 2C-xs, but be prepared for unwanted overdoses...

Yes you are right it will jump around a couple if it is real small like 5 mg's... SWIM has never worked with powder that low-dosage though. Done 8 mg and 15 mg doses a lot and they *felt* pretty consistent.

Nono, people should not "prepare for unwanted overdoses." People should not overdose. A .01 gram scale is not accurate enough to measure 2c-xs. 20 mgs of 2c-e has been described as twice as potent as 16 mgs 2c-i. +/- 10 mgs is a hugeee deal when it comes to 2c-xs, particularly 2c-e. Please, do yourself and the world a favor by not using your .01 gram scale to measure RC doses. You don't want to have a bad trip on this stuff, and the last thing we need is more people getting hospitalized, leading to more arrests and scheduling of RCs.

I said it was useable, not that it was a good solution. I have a very accurate scale now (+/- 50ug) and about a year ago I tested, how accurate I could measure with a 0.01g scale. I tried to measure 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 mgs. The results were 7.2, 10.9, 14.4, 21.6 and 24.2 mgs. Not bad, eh? (well, except for the first...). Using a combination of methods, weighing 8 times the desired dose first and then 3 times dividing into halfs produced 4.5, 9.6, 16.1, 20.8 and 25.3 mgs.
But I agree, the more precise a scale is, the better. If I had to, I would measure 2C-B, -I or -E with a 0.01g scale (still better than eyeballing!), but when it comes to DOx, this would be too risky for me.

@ howaboutthat: no need for a lecture, if you stick to these forums you´ll find out, that I´m (usually) one of the most responsible RC-users around here...

I'm glad to hear that you are a responsible RC user, I just don't want you to give the impression to somebody else that it's ok to poorly measure research chemicals. I don't want to sound like anybody's mother but I feel that telling somebody to "prepare for unwanted overdoses" is pretty terrible advice.

O.K., it wasn´t the best way to say it... I was just trying to pronounce, that the less accurate a scale is, the higher is the risk to get into trouble while trippin...

And btw: no matter how hard anybody would try, he/she could never sound in any way like my mother... ;) (and I´m glad she doesn´t know by far, what I´m doing on some weekends... (RCs and stuff like that))

Haha, wish I was prepared for my unwanted overdose. I tried using a .1 scale once, that was quirky to begin with. Big mistake. The lesson is, use as accurate a scale as you possibly can. ESPECIALLY if the chemical's effects intensify exponentially rather than a linear progression.

Yep, it could be quite "funny" to measure DOI or DOC with a 0.1g scale... (kids: don´t try this at home!)
