    "Todays the day!"
Mel Fisher, a treasure hunter in Florida, greeted everyone with "today's the day" every morning...for 15 years. On 20 July 1983 he discovered the 1622 wreck of the Spanish galleon 'Nuestra Senora de Atocha' worth $400 million.

It was a lot more fun being 20 in the 70's than it is being 70 in the 20's.

Hypocrisy is the tribute that vice makes to virtue. - Voltaire

It helps me to recognize that even though we are imperfect, most of us know how we should behave.

Secondly when Marcus Aurelius said "When I do not wish to wake in the morning, I say to myself It's a man's work that I rise to do" (faulty memory for mis quotation) did not help me one not. Knowing that a powerful general two thousand years ago shared my discomfort and got up anyway and that uncountable others had felt the very same, and did as needed, somehow made life better. We are all the same animal on the inside.
