Actually this is one of the few times I dont agree with you. I have come to have a distaste for this liberalist crap like "take the bully to meet his victim" I think its time we actually stood up as a society and said once and for all inner city violence has to end I just dont think its gonna be solved with an ID card, and I also dont think that it will be solved with nanny state tactics. Its time to get heavy handed without becoming a dictatorship. People want illegals thrown out and they want crime stopped, but dont want ID cards introduced, so instead of moaning and using tried and tested means, isnt it about time we tried radical ideas such as the death penaly for being found in possession of a gun, rather than for murder - in other words if someone is found guilty of murder and were caught at the scene on cctv etc and they used a gun or knife - then hang them. If they havent murdered anyone but were caught with a gun or knife then hang em as well- id cards will do nothing to convict someone or end violence Ha again the problem isnt with us - WTF -I mean, are you serious, some twat with a bomb blows up innocent londoners and thats the fault of politicians?? No I dont think so - if these bombers had any bottle they would take military and political targets - I definitely think they should execute convicted terrorists
my 2 pennys worth: That would be radical alright - The thing is we can't have the death penalty and stay within the EU - i think ?. No ID cards but wanton death of wronguns mmmm very very radical indeed.
Doods no debate ID cards suck unless you think you are better than everyonelse - cuz daddys flash cash bought you everything you got Take that are thinking of recording this song I wrote I say fuck the system fuck the system I say fuck the system fuck the system fuck it now
well unless its escaped your attention or you just never thought about it, its a certain fact they will not ask anyone for their ID who is getting out the back of a Rolls Royce or Daimler. But you can bet every hair on that hairy ass of yours that some dude getting out the back of a 14 year old fiat on a Newham housing estate gets asked for it a few times a year. Do you seriously believe that people who live in Notting Hill will ever be asked for their ID as they take a sackfull of rubbish from their house to the dustbin? No but people who live in scuzzbucket estate will be asked ! wake up dood ! and smell the implications
Oh and I suppose that because you are rich and dont give a donkeys shit about the living conditions of people on those festering rubbish dumps called "housing estates" you think they are scum, just like the councillors and politicians do? You think that the id card will protect your sorry ass from those people when they wake up and realise that because of the greed of the wealthy their lives are wasted, and that one day they will rise and steal everything the rich own in one go. The housing estates are homogenising and its not black and asian against white down there, its council dump estates versus anyone who looks like theyve got more out of society. Its the youth thats growing up thats going to slit your throats in a revolution boy ! Those people know the id card is against them and for the rich
I see - ''stop and search'' is one thing - the myriad of other situations ID cards are going to be used is something i'm sure the 'rich' think about just as much as the 'poor'. Infact i imagine both ends of the social scale are as weary of ID cards. I imagine it is more the people in the middle - who do not give a fuck.
I think you'll find they've always been able to drag you out of bed still in your pyjamas, ID cards or not. A lot of people will be opposed to ID cards but don't find railing at a load of strangers about there ineffective incompetence a good way to garner support for ones opposition. It generally just makes one sound like a wally. Think you'll also find the UK boards try to keep an air of civility also, try a few manners first people, I mean what are you fighting for, the right to be offensive to strangers, you might actualy convince people ID cards might be a good idea.
Yes but before the id card scheme, they did not have the ability to read your identity from a distance, at say a political meeting then fit you up for a crime you didnt commit based on the fact they dont like your politics. The difference being dapablo you are the only one being offensive at the moment - try coming here with a rational argument rather than your MI5 credentials waving a national flag and talking out the back of your neck
sorry my rational argument for what exactly ? I am against the introduction of ID cards, but am aware also so is nearly everybody else here reading. I just don't get off shouting at them about it.
have you ever thought, that maybe, just maybe, if once in a while you managed to care about something, enough to get up and shout about it ,that things might be different now. Your apathy really only amounts to the fact that youre probably wasting your vote every 5 years thinking youre achieveing something via the ballot box well do not worry dapablo we can only be grateful that during world war two there werent a whole load of apathetic people around in this country else we would now be speaking german and saluting Herr Gunther Blair. How about if you actually just get up and go demonstrate in the streets peacefully in london - and I do mean peacefully and then confront your own anger and see if you can resist bricking the police when for no reason whatsoever the facist pigshit they have in uniform these days baton charge the crowd. Dont worry though we are fighting for you as well at least you will benifit from our hard work but if you do feel guilt about only shouting the issue down ratjher than debating it and only sitting watching the cricket or football rather than facing the fact that the politicians dont want to know so how to let them know, then just carry on my man carry on but no need to stifle reasoned debate is there?
that's assuming they don't shoot you in your bed, which happened to an unarmed naked man in Hastings a few years back.
Oh certainly not. If you've got a demo lined up tell us about it, if I can attend I'm sure I'd be more than willing. Really sorry that society seems apathetic about carrying pieces of plastic sir they all think it's for their safety, go tell em, I do when I can. I'm sure if they wanted to shoot me in my bed I couldn't do a lot about that either. Whats that got to do with the price of bread anyway ?
