Saudi Cleric Reveals The Sun Rotates Around The Earth

I once read a book called 'The Morning of the Magicians' which discusses the ideas about hollow earth held by certain Nazi scientists. As I recall, one of them thought the earth is as you describe , but surrounded by solid rock that goes on forever.

Weird.

 

Seeing as this is a Saudi Cleric we need to rewrite all the science books.... Must be true or they will cut our oil supply. :fuckingrolleyes:

edit: hmm this theory would need an explanation for the phenomenom of night I guess...

 

I once read a serie of fantasy novels by Weis & Hickmann that played with a similar world view. There the universe was split up in the 4 basic elements and the world of fire was an inside out earth with the sun in the middle. Due to the chronic sunshine the people in that world had to live in an enormous jungle. The world of air consisted of huge floating pieces of rock with towns and stuff on it. The world of stone was kinda cold without any sun and most people died there eventually It's better when you read it (got to dig epic fantasy though)

 

If one side of the sun was dark that could do it - but how then to account for sunset/sunrise..................
