Can anyone make sense of this for me? In the disco Bobby explains to the ex-priest that his girlfriend likes the taste of communion wafers. What does he mean?
To be honest, it's been that (1977) long ago that since I saw the film, I only remember the Music. Seems to me a box -standard sexual reference of slang/jargon nature (maybe of Brooklyn locale?)
A few months ago I got the 8track of the soundtrack of this movie..... Only 1 song I dont care for on it The bee gees song is 10000000% better than the piece of crap!! I dont remember ever seeing the movie!!
My guess is that the communion wafer is supposed to be a very serious thing, not something to be taken lightly. And also they taste very bland like cardboard. So saying she likes the taste of communion wafers is kinda like saying she likes to go to the hospital because of the food
