I'd like to know more about Satan's powers. How exactly does he influence people (the means). What can he actually do, and what are the limits of "his" power?
^ Because of course no secularist have ever commited a crime against humanity *cough* *cough* mao*cough*
Um, the subject here is SATAN! I guess Christians just FEAR him so much they can't even talk about him... What ever happened to "know thy enemy"? Or is it just that he is such a fabrication that they can't even describe what they're afraid of... In other words Satan is just another VAGUE fear that people have been brainwashed with. You know, just like "terrorism" (which must be Satan's handiwork, no?)
And exactly how does he control them? What does he make from them if they are tools? What is HIS plan?
Well, God is not really "God" with a capital G, if he allows a competitor to compete with him. He doesn't really love all his children, and all-powerful, if he allows Satan to take them to hell forever. If God is the Creator, then who created Satan?
Neither Satan nor God have any power or control over any of us. They just present us with choices. It is up to us to make the choice that best suits us.
If God had no power or control over us, then what's the point of worship, prayer, asking for forgiveness. If all God does is present us with choices, then you are limiting God to the role of a mere restaurant waiter who presents you with a menu.
Actually Skip, they should not only 'know' but 'love' their enemy. So in fact christians should be loving Saten, or else they're not following Jesus teachings.
You do relalize that rwanda genocide was fought over race?I guess that why securlarist communism killed millions of people.
Rwanda was the most heavily Christianized country in Africa. Some 90 percent of the people identified themselves as Christians. The Roman Catholic Church, to which 65 percent of the population belonged, played a huge role in Rwandan society. Christian churches, seminaries, schools and other institutions were sprinkled throughout the land. And yet all of this Christianity did not prevent genocide, a genocide which leading church officials did little to resist, in which a large number of Christians participated, and in which, according to African Rights, more people died in churches and parishes than anywhere else. Just because of it's highly Christian area does not make it a religous genocide. If that were true you could state the civil war in America was a religous war because of the majority of christians populating the area. Also to get your point across do you have to resort to name calling?
Here is your history lesson also free Food shortages in rwanda put Rwanda in a depression like never before seen.Soon I believe it was France who called for a stable democracy in that region of Africa. The exiled (rpf) mobilized because of thier objectivity to democracy so actually its not based too much on race or religon but actually alot of it I guess is because of 1st world intervention ( which usually doesnt work ex India) When (rpf) agents shot down the president is when the genocide actually started taking place. Hutus formed militias and killed tutsis BASED ON RACE!.Christianity played a very small part or if any role in this tradegy
So a minority of the acts were commited by Christians so that is the fault of an entire religon? If the population was 90% hindu or muslim do you honestly believe they would have done anything more?
Actually, many Tutsis were killed within churches and they begged the church leaders for help. In fact, there was a minister who aranged for Tutsis to hide in his church, only to be ambushed by the militant hutus. Peace and love
