In a special election for a Congressional seat in Alaska, everyone's favorite halfwit Sarah Palin LOST her bid to join her fellow wackjobs in Congress. OMG is there hope that the supporters of such fools are waking up and realizing that fringe nuts do not make good rulers? Now we need to see Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania, Herschel Walker in Georgia, and all the other misfits on the Right be similarly rejected by an electorate which has come to its senses... Wow did I just say that? Is it even possible? We shall see...
Well, let's not go crazy here....we'll take the win. Hopefully they can get her ass to Washington fast to vote blue.

The Republicans are always going to cry foul. Because they (specifically the right-wing conservatives) wrongfully believe they represent the majority. They do not. They're just the ones who never shut up. The `silent majority' is actually the `Can't shut up minority'.
Sarah carries a lot of baggage, such as walking away from her job as Governor. And of course every time she opens her mouth she reveals she's not qualified to lead a PTA meeting, much less attain a political office. But still the election was close. Less controversial MAGA candidates could pose a real challenge in November.
I'll just say this: I'm sick of GOP politicians whining and crying foul, saying elections that members of their party lose are rigged. It's gotten to the point where I wish them one of two things: 1. A sound defeat in their next election, if its soon.. or, if they're early in a term: Illness that's bad enough to force their resignations but not bad enough to be life threatening.
I have been a big fan of ranked choice voting for years. I recently came across this article after the Alaskan election and thought it would just be Palin fans who were bitter but it gave a really good analysis and criticism of it and got me thinking. And McCarthy will help insure a big victory for Democrats in 2024. A landmark Decision at the Supreme Court, has eroded the GOP and MAGA.... they can no longer disenfranchise African American voters in Alabam .... a serious blow to the Republicans . Texas is next . The moment African Americans and Mexican American voter rights are restored in Texas ...... things are going bad for the GOP. Democracy is a threat to the GOP.
