I used to holiday there. Clam chowder on the Wharf, jumping on and off the trolley cars, long walks in Muir Woods, ski-ing in Lake Tahoe. (Yes, I know their real name is cable cars) A really great place to live (if only I were a multi-millionaire).
My wife spent part of her childhood in San Mateo, originally from St Charles area of Missouri near St. Louis. I visited the SF Bay area a few times when I was younger when my Mom attended California Autism society conferences. What a pleasure to visited San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Salinas, Stockton and Sacramento in the 1990s.
Frisco stand up... born and raised in the Lower Heights/J town area. Unfortunately I'll have to move away soon. I won't be able to make it here much longer. It's a shame. I love my city but it doesn't love me back :-(
Six years in Oakland, in the “gunfire or fireworks?”zone. Worked in Alemeda and Berkeley, with a short time in Livermore. Spent my off time at the water or in the trees.
