Won derful news for people's rights and personal freedoms...now, they need to legalize marijuana in all 50 states.

...well im just glad they thwarted the bible thumpers and their backwards discriminatory laws. the entirety of the country needs to be on the same page.

 

Fox News is saying that the decision should have been left to Congress, not the Supreme Court. But this rings hollow, because Congress is dysfunctional and this is about the U.S. Constitution, which clearly is the Supreme Court's job to rule on. MSNBC is making the point that when the Supreme Court ruled that whites and blacks can marry, the religious right's backlash sounded almost exactly the same as it does on this issue.

This is awesome news! Too bad I'll get sick listening to a bunch of rednecks at work ranting on this for days.

It's probably impossible to know how a non-human animal feels about marriage. Definitely would be difficult to tell if they are consenting, so I doubt that it would ever be legal in the u.s..

In all seriousness though, trans rights are next up on the agenda, and we will see highschool students suing schools because they feel like they should be dressing in the other locker room, genitalia be damned.

 

i know you were being sarcastic, but sometimes not too dissimilar kinds of arguments come up in politics. some people take it seriously and are swayed.

So I was playing tonight. There was a rainbow flag hanging in the venue to the left of the stage. Lot's of people. Before our last song, I got on the mic and said "You guys know that I rarely use this position to speak about anything. (I never do). But tonight....tonight is different. We've had a pretty good week and we should end it on a good note!" I put my hand in the air and the crowd roared. The sound was kind of surprising to the band. That was awesome.

 

If anyone cares to know....we ended our festival set yesterday with What's Up? by 4 Non Blondes. We thought it was a fitting song to finish with. I don't know if everyone in the crowd made the connection but I'm sure some did.
