I wish I could grow out long hair... Doesn't suit me, and I have horrible genetics, with my luck i'll be balding at 20 anyways :D

Quick question for those of you who shop online, if you pay to get "Express Next-Day Shipping (1 Business Day)" what does that mean? Does that mean it just leaves the department in one day? or will it arrive at my house within 1-2 days as well? It is the highest option available...

    Heres all the options...

Flat Rate Shipping (5-10 Business Days)
    Standard Shipping (4-7 Business Days)
    Two-Day Shipping (2 Business Days)
Express Next-Day Shipping (1 Business Day)

    My hair grows crazy fast.

Anybody know much about customs/duties? I bought $220 worth of clothes online, companies based in the US. Got a hoodie, 2 t's, a beanie, a pair of shoes, and a pair of jeans.

Is customs going to totally fuck me over? If it cost around 50-60$ i'm fine with that... Because I bought a lot of stuff on sale, plus used a discount code, and i ended up saving $58... So it will all even out if customs isn't crazy.

I don't get how it works though... I bought a bunch of posters from a company in the US once, and it came to like 60$ i think... I never ended up paying any customs or duties or anything? I also had a $30 purchase from a place in Japan once... Same thing... Will I even be charged duties/customs for this?

C'mon somebody has to know, I kind of wish I found a Canadian store now lol, but the prices were so cheap... and everything was on sale... I couldn't resist...

I'm assuming customs will be under 50-60$... right? It can't be more than that, if so.. thats just a total rip off, if its more than that then they can have a fun time trying to get my money :)

Speaking of which... I got a bill in the mail a month ago for driving over a bridge... they charged me 8$... dafuq? I didn't even realize i drove through any toll or anything... I don't even know where i'm supposed to pay... What happens if you just dont pay? lol

im not sure, hubby orders jerseys online from china, and i know that the people at his work used to do the same thing, but they ordered too many at once and customs caught them. so smaller amounts are better.

ALSO he has ordered absinthe online, from all over the place, and there is a limit to how much alcohol you can have shipped to you, some companies offer odd-size bottles so that you can order and receive the limit.

i dont do any international ordering, so this is all "over the shoulder" knowledge. its probably going to depend on if the package is large enough to be noticed.
you should get it quickly, i would say 1-2 days. always best to order things early in the week so that they dont have to wait over the weekend.

the fun new way they do tolls in some places is to record your license plate, and bill you later. very very sneaky.

he didnt mean it how you took it...did you actually neg rep him for that?

oh man...i enjoy reading your posts but this one made me cringe

i guess he doesnt believe the documented evidence of non existant human rights over there...not to mention the little children that get sick here every year because of the led content in childrens toys:(

i guess its fine as long as he gets a few bucks off a shirt

they are the same jerseys, made by the same people, just direct instead of marked up for nfl stores. if the nfl had them made in germany he would order them from there. i think the entire jersey-buying phenomena is stupid. i think the players should wear jerseys, no one else needs them.

what it comes down to is the nfls factory location. not enough people care to force the change. they are already marked up so much, if they had them made here no one would buy them, and people would be out of a job. i would love it if they just paid the workers more, but there is no incentive. and people do suffer in china, there is no arguing that, but is it right to fuck them out of a job, even if its a crap job, at the same time that their government is shitting down their neck?

there is no simple solution to human rights violations... especially when china owns our asses too. frankly, if we want to have a leg to stand on in telling china what to do, we have to pay them back what we owe. and our government cant tie its shoes let alone pay their bills. if china just raised the standards within their country things would get better, but they have no incentive. if the nfl quits making jerseys there, then some other manufacturing company will step into the space. the almighty dollar rules all.

i prefer to buy american where i can, but its not easy. and there is no incentive to bring those jobs back over here either. its a complex problem.

i did not say i have never owned/used chinese stuff...but i bought it in canada

.i didnt bypass my friends with jobs here to save a few dollars

i was ten years running the largest hockey jersey supplier in ontario...i personally numbered 10.000 jerseys for the vaughn hockey ass. not to mention thousands more for the other major organizations...there is nothing you 2 can tell me about ordering JERSEYS from china that i already dont know...

parents dont want to see ''made in china'' on their childs team jersey...minor hockey associations put it right into the contract that all team uniforms must be made in canada

its our national sport...we wouldnt shit allover it by dressing our kids in chinese jerseys lol

if you think there is any pro teams in canada that are wearing chinese shirts you are dreaming...

if people didnt buy the chinese ones for souvenirs they would be made here too

now...i'm out of this conversation...i have to go out and do some chores because i dont know any chinese children/adults for hire at pennies a day to do it for me....oh wait...thats right...they are all over in china
