sometimes i feel as if we're all overly paranoid... is the government really monitoring the useless shit we do? are corporations really as evil as we claim? is the government really as fucked and corrupt as we think it is?

And even if all that is true, who gives a fuck? What are they even going to do to us personally? nothing... nothing ever happens, its all 'what if'

I know things happen... but not to me, and not to anyone i've ever known... maybe i'm just selfish, but that kinda makes me think everythings not really as big of a deal as we tend to make it out to be...

 

actually valentines isnt a official holiday....... it is a observence

 

that's easy to say when you still live with your mom and don't have any responsibilities. if i blow $500 on designer hoodies and shoes at the mall, i can't afford food.

 

i'm not against making your ol'lady happy... its a cop out to hit the mall a few days before and buy a mass produced piece of worthless jewelry for her

now chocolate... thats the best anytime gift for someone with lady parts. my hubby usually buys tickets for US for valentines day. the shows are later, but i got to see George Carlin twice, and Flight of the Conchords. i know we have no money this year, but our relationship is stronger than missed holidays. i got a vacuum one mothers day, and a new sewing machine. that would piss some people off, but im practical.

i think thats what bugs me the most about modern holidays in general- the thoughtless consumerism. "i have to buy him/her something..." thoughtful purchases mean more. you could buy stuff when you see something she will like, but then youd have to save it until a holiday. i cant handle that, if i buy something for someone, i pretty much have to give it to them right away. i feel like thats how gifts should be, spontaneous, not obligatory.


we have a comedy radio station thats pretty fantastic.

i have a small wooden cross with a long story behind it that i could put on a necklace but its made of wood and looks very old so i too scared..might break or something...so it stays in one spot of my room...but i want a new cross..

That is unreal about that chick that got a DUI after she left your place. In this day and age though, she should have known better...when they say on the tv commercials "if you drink you will get caught"...they are definitely for real.
