I brought it up in jest... I knew somebody might bring it up. How would it be possible for Sharia law to be 'adopted' in any none Muslim European state? 'waiting' seems to suggest it is likely at some point. How likely is it? How would it be possible?
Sorry I Don't Measure Up To Your Standards odonII, But May I Be Permitted To Describe Myself As "Upfront And Honest", That's Good Enough For Me... Cheers Glen.
GLENGLEN As has been noted, you have not been that 'upfront' - infact it seems you have been downright evasive. That being an issue I and others have. I would not say being a bigot and being prejudiced is 'good'. Nobody is perfect, that's for sure. I have my own prejudices. They don't match your prejudices, though. that, so far, seem to be based on the idea all Muslims are ready to blow me up, and that none of them are integrating. It is clear that is not true. But, yet, I am sure come this topic again, you will trot out the same bad thoughts. Your brief thoughts here make you look bad, Glen, really bad.
Since YOU brought it up, you get no points for having a pyschic ability. I would think that democracy might allow it to be 'adopted' if a large enough majority were to demand it, or enough politicians having such an agenda being elected. Who can see the future? How unlikely is it? Can you say it would be impossible?
Well, there are less than 1% of Muslims in the UK. I think that is true through out Europe (apart from Turkey). In the UK we have had Jewish people here a lot longer and in more No.s than Muslims, yet we don't live under Jewish Law. You kinda have to vote these types of parties in, don't you? I doubt there will ever be the No.s to do that. So it seems to be highly unlikely. It is not impossible. But pigs flying might occur one of these days.
It also seems to me that muslim people moving from a muslim country to somewhere like the UK are probably less likely to be advocates of living under sharia law than your average muslim living in an islamic country.
so, so far they have managed to piss off every gay person and every muslim... I'm glad I dont live there.
I'm an atheist, Buddhist, and I have a bible in my home. I even have a copy of the Quran, but I don't live in Russia.
Then I'm not sure what point you were trying to make with your previous post, or were you just trying to be frustrating for the sake of being frustrating?
No point intended. But why the interest in what Russia is doing, especially when I've not seen a single Russian involved in the thread, or on the forums for that matter? Is there a trickle down effect expected from what Russia is doing?
