The Run the Jewels album released last year stands as one of my favorite hip-hop albums of recent times. The production and beats are just off the chart. The hard-hitting nature of the music sounds particularly kick-ass on a nice set of speakers. Lyrically, it's decent, but it's the heavy sound of this album's production that keeps drawing me back. Production-wise, this album really marks a step forward for modern hip-hop music. I absolutely love RTJ If you have Netflix you should watch Trigger Warning w/ Killer Mike. He does his verse from Lie Cheat Steal for a bunch of senior citizens in a retirement home. And it's not done for shock value but to help bridge that cultural gap. There were a quite a few elders who were into it.
Top billin', come cops and villainous shots is blocked, shipped out, and bought, and you're feeling it El-P killing it, Killer Mike killing shit
Yes! I love Run the Jewels. Definitely my favorite newer hip hop group. We are the murderous pair That went to jail and we murdered the murderers there Then went to Hell and discovered the devil Delivered some hurt and despair
No blood or guts. In the same way its how Machine Gun Kelly disappointed me. Awesome name, doesn't machine gun shoot anybody.
