i've never seen where they do have curbside services.

i used to recycle aluminum because they paid you for it, but i don't see why i would sort out my paper and plastic in order to drive it a half hour to the recycling center and get nothing out of it

    ohio

grew up out in the country... so that's understandable

now i live in toledo... i never really looked into recycling services up here, but i know i've never seen any sort of sorted recyclables on the curbs, and only one garbage truck goes by and it puts everything in the same place

I didn't see a single curbside service when I spent time in NYC and Brooklyn. I saw garbage day 2-3 times a week, but no recycling.

Pfft only in larger cities....or if you're willing to pay a lot of $$$. I don't recycle. I would if there were places to take this crap, but the place I haul my garbage to puts it all in the same place.

we've got curbside service. my mom does, too. she has a huge, regular sized trash can for her recyclables. she doesn't have to sort it at all. if it's recyclable, if you throw it in there, they sort it for you. it's a bit more backwards here, with the little square bin you put your stuff in, but oh well.
