For those of us who have searched in vain for news apart from the Corporate controlled media, here's a refreshing alternative.

RT News has been around for a dozen years, mostly with their online news website.

Recently they've updated their live news that can be watched online or via any number of internet connected devices (I watch it via Kodi).
It broadcasts at 1080p and it works better than most live online news.

Not only is their live news service state-of-the-art, but what makes it most interesting is the channel's unusual slant and humor.

You would think with the name Russia Today, the news would be all about Russia.

However, that's hardly the case, but there is certainly an emphasis on the top Russian news stories, as well as an overall bias towards Russia.

But the US and World news seem to be the primary focus, and they do a great job reporting on that, relatively unbiased and amazingly insightful.

Supported fully by the Russian Government, without commercials, without corporate bias, the channel paints a completely different picture of events than our corporate controlled media does.

What RT news has done is give a platform for alternative news reporting by Americans and Europeans.

Indeed some of the best shows are hosted by Americans with unabashedly liberal views, like Ed Schultz and Larry King (yes he's still alive & kicking!).

Recent, in-depth reporting has focused on chemicals in the environment, the impact of international trade deals, and of course, the Syrian War (with much better coverage than any other news organization, since Russia has boots on the ground there).

I find their financial shows most enlightening as they highlight economic news with a Socialist bias, railing against banks and corporations and government bias favoring wealthy individuals and corporate interests.

    Lee Camp on Redacted Tonight

One of my favorite shows is Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp. His show reviews the week's news stories like Jon Stewarts' Daily Show, but even more edgy and as funny as it is incisive.

If you enjoy watching liberal Americans and Europeans speaking their minds to millions, then this channel is something you can feel comfortable watching.

It's available in English, Spanish, Arabic and German, with regional emphases.
