I know a few guys OBSESSED with video games, and that's pretty lame if you ask me. I just play here and there for kicks. spending all day trying to beat a level/game whatever is just a waste of life though.
You dont need a N64, if you have a good enough computer (and it really donest have to be that good) you can download a N64 emulater and ocarin of time, when i played it, i played it on computer using an emulater.
Thats why i dont play the sims 2 any more... it aint going no where and it takes alot of time. Rome: Total war and Civ4 can be huge time wasters but really with long games, you dont have to play them for hours, just play the same game when you do play and you can still get something out of it.
Yeah fair enough, plus that way you can play the game with out glitches to. Although personally, i dont think the N64 is really worth the controller... unless you have three hands.
Hell, I don't know anything about games....but I do know they make controllers you can plug into your 'puter
OK well sorry! I just don't like playing games on the computer shoot me. plus the computer freezes up a lot more often than a television does :cheers2:
Well, i would like to add that consols do freeze up, even the really old ones... although you're right in that they dont nearly as much as computers.
I used to be heavily into RPGs and TBS games. I guess I still am. I also like space sims, though they can be very time consuming. a list of some of the games I really like: Fallout series (have not tried the last one yet, but the second one is my fav game of all time.) Total War series (Rome especially) Civilization series + Colonization Elder Scrolls series (except Oblivion, which while entertaining, kind of fucking sucked compared to its predecessors) X-COM series Baldur's gate & Icewind Dale series + PS:T & ToEE Deus Ex (one of the greatest ever) I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture: I'm a big nerd. although I do not play video games very much anymore, and only if I've got nothing else to do/don't want to waste money on drinks/drugs. I try to use my computer for learning stuff these days; languages, watching docus, etc.
Still have to finish Morrowind and Ninja Gaiden on the xbox, but I'm not playing all the time so I already did years about these . Although I really like these two I'm not sure what my favourite games are, but my first console was a N64 as well and I also have had a very good time with Goldeneye and Ocarina of time :cheers2: Oh yes, I was overall very impressed by Prince of Persia - Sands of time when I played and finished it! Awesome atmosphere and ending in my opinion. I still have quite a few games to play on the xbox, don't like to play them on my pc anymore. SSX 3 was pretty entertaining as well, by the way
Ahh yes prince of persia: warrior within was very good. I also like the original very much, probably one of the best dos games ever. Deus Ex was also very good. I am reminded of one of my favourite sneak 'em ups of all time "Tenchu".
I didn't try it awfully hard but the few times I started with Warrior within I never finished that first level on that ship... I heard it was as a whole much harder as Sands of time.
I never played sands of time. It is a pitty you didnt get past the boat, i admit the first boss is very difficult at first, you really have to get good at the fighting system right away, unfortunatley there isnt much opportunity for practice. Having said that, once you get the pattern, she is actually not that hard to beat.
OBLIVION!! I love it, I got the game of the year ed. recently (before we had a pirated copy from my friend) and it is amazing. I love the game. NWN2!! Less awesome than Oblivion, but fantastic. I still love it. I don't play many games for long, I get bored easily but these are like the only two best games ever in my opinion. I have morrowind but I never really played it much because it's on my laptop and thus the graphics are worse and the game's harder to play. Not only that but it's hard anyway. xD The only other games are the internet ones. They're pretty rad, well some.
All I mostly play is Civ IV, but my CD is damaged, so I can't play it as it is. I'm all about playing some COD 4 online on the 360 at a friend's house though, that shit is addicting and I'm just too damn good at it. NBA Live games for the PC are pretty fun too. Used to like Fifa as a kid, just can't get into it anymore.
Do you have the expansions? because if you like the game enough to buy it again, you can buy it with expansion now on one cd.
I'll just download that shit when I have fast internet. Fuck buying anything, I already bought it once. Internet sucks balls right now though... so I have to wait a good 3 weeks. I think that a friend might actually have it downloaded already, I should just hit him up.
