Well it was warm enough this past weekend at 6am, that was able to go grocery shop in the neighborhood market barefoot. It had also rained so the ground was wet. I walked into the store this time without a cart. Going in there, I was a little more confident than the first time, but still a little nerve wrecked. Aside that, it felt more natural this time if that makes any sense. Since then, It has been consistently in the 20s every morning so I don't think I will be shopping barefoot any time soon. My feet aren't built up enough to go in the cold yet. Regardless I am still surprised with myself that I am actually doing this. I am still super shy, and my fear is someone I know seeing me barefoot in a store being the position and environment I Work in where everyone thinks they're an alpha male. Can't wait to be done with it in 6 years lol, where I can move where I want to be and potentially ditch shoes for the most part.
The more you go barefoot you will start getting comfortable about going barefoot everywhere. And like I said you shouldn’t care what anybody tells you . If you love being barefoot and it feels good to you and you are not hurting anyone by going barefoot. You should do what feels good and feel right to you . People will say what ever they what to say about people going barefoot but I really think deep down inside of them I think they wish they had the guts to go barefoot in public also . The barefoot lifestyle is great and if more people would go barefoot there foot problems would go again shoes do cause a lot of foot problems our feet are not made to be confined in tight spaces . I hope you keep going barefoot and I hope you don’t let anybody change your mind about going barefoot
Thank you I am getting the urge to venture out in more places. I may take my own advice I gave that one person on here. I may travel a ways up to a city I like to visit once every few months and see about just window shopping at a bunch of places barefoot. I just feel weird about going into a store, and walking out not buying anything. I always feel weird about that, then you throw in being barefoot on top of it, eek lol.
I think you should and just act normal and just be yourself and you will notice that people won’t even notice that you’re even barefoot. And it you had someone to go with you that would be willing to go barefoot with you it would make you feel comfortable .
Just don’t think about being barefoot just go and do your shopping and act normal and after a while you will forget that you’re barefoot and you will be going barefoot in more places. That’s how I did it when I was a lot younger .
Yea. Well, today I ventured into a full blown wal-mart super center. Still early 6am for minimal people in there. 2 employees were bullshitting, then one spotted me, i passed aisle on other side seconds after and they were both staring at me. Feet were blocked by pallots though. But it was a good experience. Raining out so no dirt really.
I bought a bunch of gallon waters and powerade lol. Thats what I normally buy. So I split my shopping up to get more barefoot experiences this weekend. Lol
Shyness is often the only reason that prevents us from doing what we enjoy in public. It just takes time and determination. Over time, bare feet will become part of your lifestyle and it won't seem strange to you. It helped me a lot when I didn't go out alone, but when someone was with me. He didn't have to be barefoot, I just wasn't alone. This will be suitable for you, but only if you want your friends to know that you want to be barefoot. But I think it's really necessary for people around you to notice you barefoot if you want to become a barefoot person.
Today I went bf in a Circle K convenience store for a quick stop, a bottle of drinking water. As I was approaching the checkout counter the clerk gave me the "look". He said that you shouldn't come in here barefoot and he said the usual nsnsns. I very politely told him that there is no law regarding bare feet in establishments. I said I'm always very careful and said i'll be leaving now. I feel you can catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
