yeah, i knew a lot of states used to allow 18 year olds to buy the low alcohol beers, but that changed with the national minimum drinking age act in 1984, forcing states to raise the minimum age to at LEAST 21 or face severe reduction in federal funding of interstate highways...most states claim they could not possibly afford upkeep and construction without full amount of funds offered by the federal government. i still think some places with high tourism income, such as nevada, could afford to lower the drinking age and probably receive enough added tourism due simply to having the youngest drinking age in the country to make up for lost funds....but thats just speculation. i just didnt realize they still made 3.2 beer for states with more restrictive laws.
the only 3.2 beers I've ever purchased are coors products and budweiser. However both companies have breweries near denver. Coors is about 10-15 minutes from downtown, budweiser is about 50 minutes. Wisconsin has some unique laws regarding 18 year olds and booze. I believe it is legal for 18 year olds to transport unopened alcohol containers. i do know you can be a bartender in WI at 18, whereas most states you can only serve alcohol at 18 and have to be 21 to pour it.
wierd. yeah, here you can stock and work around unopened bottles even under 18. i was stocking the beer aisle at 17 or so. stole a lot when the managers werent there, to my shame. but whatever. you have to be 18 to actually sell/serve alcohol, and i think you do have to be 21 to tend bar.... i'm not certain on it all though. now that i'm 21, i just know i can do what i want as long as i'm not drinking and driving, walking down the street drinking a beer, buying for minors, or otherwise acting foolishly. im more concerned with knowing which stores are open how late, and which stores are open sunday and so on

in all the years I've lived in the Denver area, I've never done any of the brewery tours. A couple weeks ago, I went to the new Belgium brewery in Fort collins for the first time. We didnt do the tour; just the free tasting. I think all of our liquor stores close by midnight. when I was living in stl you could go to the store and buy at like 2am it was awesome. I do like chik-fil-a but I'm not a huge fast food eater anymore. I did just eat there a couple of weeks ago; I had a coupon. When i was growing up (ie middle school/early hs) chickfila was only available in mall food courts around here. Now we have a few free standing locations just like your tuypical mcdonalds...i don't know how they are 9malls or free standing) around the rest of the country. I love their waffle fries
we have a few around here, but i've never tried it. heard good things, though. i only know of one grocery around here that has a liquor store in it, but i know there are at least one or two more i just haven't been to.
that explains your drought... the midwest is horrible for weed this fall... its not even busts that made it rough on us.. its all the rain and flooding we got this year.. i've heard that up to 90% of this years crop was washed out by floods.. 90 sounds high.. really high.. but i dont doubt the reasoning
thats wierd, i live in ohio (eastern edge of the midwest) and we had a really dry spring and early summer. no real rain until relatively recently. but i JUST found a source for some really good grass.... too bad, i didnt know the majority of the midwest had a really rainy summer.... we were actually hurting for rain most of the time.
northeastern iowa, south/southeastern minnesota, and western wisconsin saw shit tons of rain over a month ago.. it was concidered a national disaster.. FEMA was here.. still is here i believe.. towns completely destroyed.. just google "rushford, mn flood 2007" or Stockton, mn flood 2007".. im within 10-30min of both of these towns
that sucks! its just mind boggling that people make pot into some sort of big deal... oh well, i guess prohibition comes with the times.
