Rooms thread

There was discussion of a thread for forummers rooms, so I'll post up mine. I'm aware it looks more like a 5 years olds room and that I have a disturbing amount of soft toys!!

My beach hut mural thing I did with tester pots and a lot of masking tape!

The place I'm writing to you from, bloody hell it's a mess!!!!

My bed plus a small selection of my clothes eveidentally... And a snake in a hat....

Windowsill and poster, or basically my 'dumping random crap' place. Hang on, thats what all my rooms for...

So lets see yours!

 

Aw i know i have recent photos of our room somewhere, just cant find them...will find them or take new ones tomorrow...it looks so boring compared to yours! Love the beach huts!

 

Couldnt find them so just snapped a couple...

We had to dump everything in this corner when we had the wedding reception here and we still havent moved it. Theres a red sofa under there somewhere (Oh and we dont want to burst the balloons or it might scare the bunnies, but they dont seem to be going down at all. Our helium ones are covering the ceiling in the living room and the ribbons tickle us as we walk about)



And our bed (yep, my side has the bunny) We dont have many pictures about the place at all but its not because were really boring-just these walls are impossible to hammer into and you just get a load of broken plaster

I like the bunnies. Not sure about the lightbulbs around your bed. Do you have disco's in bed?

Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera and an upload facility on this public computer. But if you have seen Torridon Road Library, you will note the yellow walls, the red carpet and the millions of latchkey kids all flying about on those wheel about chairs.

My bedroom is a mess. I ripped two of my pants, I have a 1980's tv in my room and it still works. I have Queen poster and lots of arty portraits that stick to a holey white painted wall. At one time I had a massive Led Zepplin poster going up my door. I can only rely on discription for the moment. But someday, you will see my home and thus, the man behind the keypad.

The lights are really cool for making it a bit more romantic. They have a warm orangey glow. I had them on with yellow rose petals on the bed and ribbons on the doors and helium balloons tonight, and we had a silly rose petal fight and listened to soppy songs...but then we got tired from messing about and decided to veg out infront of the tele with chips Theyre nice lights anyway

In my room, bats sleep upside down and in one corner, there is a newly borrowed Iron Maiden. I also have Mautisha's ashes. On the floor, skulls left from the nuclear war that never happened. I also have a certain marilyn on the wall. Guess which one


Someday I will inherit a scanner or digital camera to upload onto the net. Then you can witness a typical Goth- bedroom.

*bimbles off to take photos* my room's a state, but i can't see it improving any time in the near future so i'll take em anyway.

right, i had a lot of revision to do, so i thought i'd make like a panorama thing of me room. hope it's not too big! >.<



notes: here you see - sign by my mirror reminding me to 'be nice'. beautiful days 06 photos by pillow (happy times) and 'wall of crap'. oh and bed.

 

notes: books, and 'cupboard of crap' - it's nice to have coordination in one's personal space, i find.

 

notes: shrine to hunter s. thompson (by the door), more books, pheasant skin, wardrobe of crap.

soo yeah. that was a wonderful way to waste twenty minutes. have a nice evening peeps.

 

Holllyyyy I am so jealous of your room!!!! I really must stick up all the flyers I got at the stop the war demo, they're mouldering under my bed.

 

hehe thankyou..that's nine years of accumalated rubbish on my walls. don't know what i'm going to do with it all when i go off to uni in a few months, scrapbook it i suppose.

i like your snake in a hat i want a hat for my snake now (very impressionable i know)..dya think you could crochet a snake-hat for me? hehe, his head's only about an inch big, wouldn't take long. may not stay on..hmm... *wanders off again*

 

I would put mine up, but I have lost my cable thing for my camera. Plus, i'm not there at the moment so I can't actually take any photos!

 

Hehe I'm sure I could do you a snake hat Holly... I was bored so I now have random clippings from the Grauniad, the indie and NME for me walls, mainly festivals I wish I could go to
