Mimosa, dude, I missed trey too. That storm really fucked me up. I was having a GREAT TIME, man, it was the FIRST time i was REALLY having a superb fucking time....I was on a few things, and i was by myself..my friends went back towards the campsite...

and then the storm blew in, the band that I was watching ended, people started to get pissed, I didn't have anyone to talk to...man...that was defintly a bad time for me. I got so cold and my trip started to go sour because of all the negativity around me and there was no one to keep me level.... Man, I tried to find cover and the staff was being total dicks to me...which escalated my worsening trip. And then all of a sudden, an angel appeared, a concerned brother who'd been watching me plead with the staff.... He kept me company and helped me find my party. Man, I never asked him his name.

I was so fed up with the weather and all the bad shit I got to the van and was like "Let's get the fuck out of here..." They were all wanting to leave anyway. lol.

Ok, I have a serious question. I'm not a "hippie" so will I be an outcast at this event. I dig music and nice people and that's why I'm goin to Bonnaroo. Don't get me wrong, I don't walk around in hiphuggers, pink sequins, and heels but I don't wear tie dye. Are people there nice is what I mean cause I am out of high school and don't want to do the clique thing again. I already went through that horror once.

It is not that bad. You just have to be prepared when you go. I bring my own shade tent. I am sure the water is pricey inside where the music is but the festival allows you to bring in your own sealed water bottles. Don't buy it in the concert area buy it as you walk into centeroo or bring your own. Last year it was really muddy but it is not Bonnaroo's fault that it rained. There wasn't a lot they could do. The previous two years it was completely dry.

The music is incredible and totally worth the traffic, the bad vibes, and the mud :)

Ok guys... what all can you bring in with you and what can't you. They said around the stage there is no class allowed...what about cans. I heard the traffic is bad but that traffic jams there are like one big party. Any advice you could give to a virgin 'roo attendee. You have no idea how excited I am about goin you guys. Nobody around here even knows about Bonnaroo and that is weird to me cause everybody back in Mississippi knew and Ky is way closer... Course Ms had more hippies and Ky has more "gangstas." I guess you never know [IMG]

My main advice about getting in initially is camp in the Walmart parking lot Wednesday night (it's been allowed so far) and then wake up early and the interstate is just a couple of blocks away. Get on it and I was in the gates in less than 2 hours Thursday early morning. Unless you really want to sit in line for hours.

its not as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. yes, it is hot. yes, you can get dehydrated. yes, there was mud. at night it got very very cold and wet. but it was an incredible experience! and bring all the water bottles you want--theres fill-up stations everywhere. when you go through the gates into centeroo, your bags are checked, but barely. theoretically, you could bring anything in you want. the check is for weapons more than anything else. theyll let you have your water--or else theyd have a lot of dehydrated hippies. everyone go! its fun! it makes me so sad to hear what a terrible time people think bonnaroo was, when i enjoyed myself so thoroughly. much love, lady

Ive always found that there are some people in the lots that sell water for cheap so dont pay 4 bucks for a bottle.
