I am voting for John Edwards. Unlike the majority of America, I can appreciate the true beauty and value in a 500 dollar haircut.

I think hes getting shit about that from them. But his views are more republican than theirs if you look at the traditional values. modern republicans are more like theocratic fascists.

for a lot of people, the word Republican has become synonymous with neocon, but he is more of a classic republican. I don't agree with all of his stances, but at least he adheres to the constitution (which is what the pres should do).

Indeed, he may be pretty far from the main party of the Republican party, but he's even farther from most tents of the Democrat party.

He has my vote, it's wierd, I usually hate politicians with a passion but I agree with RP on every single issue I've heard him speak on. He'll never get elected though. They murdered Kennedy, just imagine what they would do to this poor guy...

yea who needs drug laws? AIDS yielding meth heads? pffff...if everyone was free to do any drugs they wanted this country would collapse so fast.

im all for getting rid of marijuana laws but that should be it. well...shrooms and lsd wouldn't be too bad either..

I think some violent meth head should be treated the same way a drunk driver would be treated. besides, if it were legal and there were a free needle exchange, don't you think the AIDS rate would go down?

anyway, the government has no place telling anyone what to put or not put in their body.

lol an alcoholic would be sent to rehab like any other meth head. after doing their time for drunk driving and meth making/selling.

and yea your right. if there were a free needle exchange then heroin addicts will kill themselves even faster. and doing our economy a big favor.

this really isn't that difficult, man.

any drug-related crimes should be punished, but consuming a drug in and of itself shouldn't be a crime. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but anyway; if someone OD's, I couldn't care less. the information is out there, people should know some of these substances aren't a joke.

do you see drug-related crimes decresing if they're legal?
i too can care less if somebody wants to ruin their lives with drugs(except people i care about). so yea, lets make all drugs legal so the increasing rate of crack heads can bring more crack babbies into this world so they can ruin their lives too. who cares right?

    (now im being sarcastic)

People would OD less because they would know the potency/purity of their shit.
There might be a spike in hard drug use, but it would level off and i think drop below current levels. Its like the black market primes people for that, and then theres the forbidden fruit aspect.
Fucked up pimps and dealers would lose all elements of control, our society could be more open and compassionate.

If drugs are made legal of course drug crimes will decrease. They won't exist.
You will still have people committing crimes bc they are on drugs, but thats the inevitable stupidity of humanity. And i'm sure still have robberies going on to buy drugs, but not at the current rates. Right now heroin is worth more ounce for ounce than gold.

Prohibition against drugs has never worked and it never will work, all it does is create a huge black market full of crime, and from a philisophical point it's wrong to tell a person what they can put in their body. Drugs should be regulated, not banned. Take all the heroin and coke OD's for example, heroin and cocaine when clean are very safe drugs, people OD from all the shit put into the drugs to cut them.

Never trust a republican's word, almost 50 years of history should have taught u fuckers that. The guy's a pied piper leading all u lemmings to the dark side. Ron Paul stinks like a rat dipped in sewage. just because i think you're being mislead doesn't mean i have the intelligence of an acorn. The bastard will probably drop out of the race for the republican nomination and run liberterian to split the vote and ensure some prick like Jewliani gets elected. maybe not. but i still think he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. If you believe Ron Paul is going to legalize pot, If (big if) he does get elected, and isn't a devicive tool, then i sheep is what you are. Now go ahead and call me what you want. I REALLY hope I'm wrong. I really hope it takes something like a Deibold voting machine to steal your votes and not your own naivity. More and more young people are voting and it's scaring the piss out of both sides ( the right in particular). Bush has been a disaster for them, and the rest of us for that matter. We're more fucked right now than most of you can possibly understand. The legislative, judicial, and especially executive branch have been completely turned upside down. we're in a quagmire abroad that we cannot pull out of, and we've already begun to invade a real country with a real dictator who has real weapons of mass destruction. A draft will likely be instituted if a republican attains power at the executive level again. More to come later.....

Do you really hate Ron Paul just because he's a Republican? It's only a name, remember Teddy Rosevelt who one of our most progressive presidents was a Republican. Considering Paul is against the draft, as all candidates are, and that he believes in a very non-intervention foreign policy, and the fact he's one of the few people on either side who has been against using force on Iraq since the original bill to authorize force was voted on, I don't think we'd have to worry about a draft.
