Have any of you seen the movie 'It', based on the book by Stephen King? It's about an evil clown. Anyways, Tim Curry played the clown, which is really interesting considering he also played the uber-sexy Dr. Frank N. Furter. Strangely, though, It is not sexy. Sorry, It.

I think Riff Raff is played by Richard O'Brien in the actual film. Look him up: he's a marvelously intriguing person (Richard, not Riff Raff...although Riff Raff is pretty cool too).

a few months ago me and my best friend went to see the play. it was great! i dressed up as magenta and my friend dressed up as columbia. as soon as we got out of the car we ran into these other people who dressed up also. we got our pictures taken with them and sat behind them at the show. the next time it comes around here we are going to go and see it again.

You're absolutely right on both accounts. I suppose that you also know that he is the creator of this wondeful musical.

The funny thing about him is that you can also spot him every now and again where you least expect him. For example: I was watching Revolution, an old film with Al Paccino and suddenly guess who appeared as a snobby deranged British cavalry officer? Yep, none other than Dicky himself.

Apart from the TV show The Crystal Maze, does anyone know any other film or show where he's appeared?

And he's from New Zealand. And he abhors labels and does not have a known sexual preference. Or something like that.

I forgot he's a Kiwi. Explains why he's such a nice bloke. Shame we don;t see more of him in films. I bet a lot of people would love to see him. Maybe we should campaign Holywood. What d' you think?

OMG I risked death at the hands of It (for my egregious insult to It's appearance), and NO ONE commented on this amazing fact, that Dr. Frank N. Furter and It are played by the same person! And I even provided you with PICTURES!

Tim's done many movies and he's an exceptionally talented actor that doesn't need to be typecast. He has a flair for both comedy and drama. He's appeared in quite a long list of movies, apart from It. Here's a list of some:

    Scary Movie II
    Charlie's Angels
    Addams Family Reunion
    The Shadow
    The Three Musketeers (1993)
The Hunt for Red Ocober (he plays the doctor)
    Legend
    Annie
    Oliver Twist(1982)

Someone's set up a site for us fans at:
    http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Cinema/2636/

You can peruse all his work there. The man is amazing!

Another interesting site to visit if you like Richard O' Brien is:

    http://www.robcrusade.com/

Read his bio. Could I be wrong in thinking that one of the reasons he is so liked by people in general is that he is a rather inspiring fellow? It's very interesting how he started, like a dream come true.
